Spring Into TTC! June 2014 POAS Thread

    @Circusbee: I think I might also be one of those people whose cycles vary depending on the side you ovulated from. I've tracked 10 cycles (only TTC for two) and I've noticed they rotate back and forth--29 days, 30 days, 28 days, 31 days, like that. I have def Od on day 20 before. The still-elevated temp on day 31 is unusual, but I also think maybe the vitamin B6 plus day 20 ovulation might have just extended my LP. Last month's cycle was only 26 days (unusually short, hence the B6) so I am due for a longer one.

    @angelachase: Good luck to you!

    I'm 10DPO so I used a wandfo this morning. Super clear negative. Ugh. I'm not feeling hopeful this cycle anymore which is so odd since our timing was so spot on. My temp has started dropping (though it's still above the coverline) so I guess we'll see on Friday?

    TMI Question ..... I have forgotten all of my TTC knowledge from round 1. Which lubricants are bad for sperm? All of them? Just certain ones? I know pre-seed is recommended, but wonder if astroglide is okay?
    Never used any TTC LO#1, but now postpartum it's a must!

    @angelachase are you planning to test again tomorrow?

    @marym to you too! Hope you get good news in a couple of days.

    @cmomma17: nope, astroglide is harmful to sperm. Preseed and conceive plus are the only 2 that are sperm friendly

    @Circusbee: yes, if AF doesn't show today. Honestly, though, my gut feeling is that I am not pregnant.

    @mrsmccarthy I love it! "guts are wrong all the time!" haha!

    I keep going back and forth over here, 1 min I notice a "symptom" and I think how pregnant I definitely am, and then some time passes and I think how there's no way this could be it...

    @KelLeeLeee: @Circusbee: @swedishfish: Totally ok with it We're still waffling on timing, scheduling a laparascopy, etc so this gives us wiggle room.

    I'll update again tonight. I hope there's more BFP's to put on!!

    I think I'll be out too. Had small amounts of light pink/brown mixed with CM yesterday AM and now it's mostly brown so I think AF is gearing up. I've shed a couple silent tears this morning, trying to hide it from my co-workers.

    @KelLeeLeee: what about coconut oil? We use that.. i figured since it's natural it wouldn't be harmful to sperm

    @grizz: bummer! but glad you're feeling okay about it

    Told DH about astroglide being a sperm killer and now he's bummed because we used it last cycle! Whoops!

    @LaughLines: I haven't heard of coconut oil, but I have heard of people using actual egg whites, I don't know if it actually works though.

    @KelLeeLeee: How are you liking the digital advanced OK so far?

  30. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

    @simplyfelicity: So far, so good! I'm on my third day of flashing smilies and I have a feeling I am going to O tomorrow. Are you using opk's this cycle? Oh, and I think you asked about Mucinex once? I've been using it since CD 7 and I definitely notice a difference, I usually have good CM anyway, but now it's way in abundance.

    @grizz boo! Sorry to hear

    @hellonheels cautiously saying you're not out until you're out, but if AF does show soon hopefully you can enjoy your weekend, I know it's a total bummer though!!

    @cmomma17 and @simplefelicity I've looked around in a few stores and target has been the cheapest unless you order it online!

    @HellOnHeels: @grizz; So sorry ladies

    I've been breaking out like mad this cycle. It is so embarrassing. I am hoping that means I actually ovulated though! But if I did ovulate, I think it was early like CD11 and I had sex the day after. So.... ya pretty sure I missed it. I am totally buying OPKs for next cycle!

  35. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

    Happy O day to me! I'm loving the clear blue opks, it is taking all the guesswork/stress out of decoding the lines. I think I will celebrate by doing a little (baby) dancing! I will have hit O-3, O-1 and O, and feeling really good about this cycle (but we all know how that can go!)

    I caved and tested at 9 dpo, since I've had heartburn for the last 2 days (which I never have), and a full on breakout on my face, chest and back!

    Used target brand first but know they are famous for false positives so then I broke out the FRER.

    ETA: I realize these look pretty faint in the picture, and they are faint, but they're there!
