DH didn't want me to use OPKS because he thought it was bizarre (I don't even pretend to understand him sometimes.) So, after last cycle's madness, I brought it up worried he would object and he simply said, "ok, fair enough." Don't tell him I ordered them from Amazon a few days ago.

@simplyfelicity: guys don't get it because they are kind if always just ready to go but we on the other hand only have a small window. I think you just have to know your type. I'm the type who needs to know everything or I stress but some are like my sister and need to take a very unplanned approach. Either side will have frustrations. I hope you have a rainbow coming. I have a good feeling you do.

@pinkcupcake: I think I finally figured out. Rather stupidly, I was peeing on the stick longer than the recommended 3 seconds, thinking it would give a stronger result - which, nope, got an error message instead. Lesson learned!

I'm taking wondfo OPKs for the first time this month... i started taking it 3 days ago and it was negative, then yesterday was a bit darker so i thought it was getting closer but still wasn't positive, and then today is lighter than yesterday. Does that mean i was ramping up and didn't O? Today is only CD11, so there is still time.. is the change in darkness day to day normal?

@laughlines: I couldn't hold out too long and ended up calling my DH when I knew he was out of the office. The first time I got pregnant I had a nice surprise planned for him at home, but after a few early losses, the surprise factor doesn't really come in to play. But that's okay - we've got another chance and we're hopeful!
@simplyfelicity: For what's it's worth, I've only used the clearblue advanced digitals and LOVE them. I've now gotten pregnant 3 times while using them - so they can't be all that bad!!

@LaughLines: Thanks! I managed to hold out till he left work. I asked him to meet me and our son on our walk home (we live close to our daycare and my husband's job). On the way, I put our son in a shirt I had ordered last month (for this purpose) which said, "this boy is being promoted to big brother!" It was a wonderful surprise! My husband loved it. He's so thrilled!

@LaughLines: It's likely that you just missed your surge, when do you test? I have a really short surge so mine are never truly positive. It's possible that your surge happened sometime yesterday and you are ovulating today or tomorrow.

@KelLeeLeee: I took it at 2pm yesterday and at 3pm today. It was slightly darker yesterday but it still wasn't positive
I took clomid on day 2-7, today is cd11

@Kbee: I think people get frustrated with them because they don't know how to use them. I am going to try the original this month and basic next. I had a really long surge the cycle before last (I didn't use OPKS last month.) So I am not too worried about not catching my surge. Congrats again!

@MrsMcCarthy: I know, right? If I knew for sure that my O date was consistent, I wouldn't be concerned but since I o'ed a week late last cycle, I just want to have a better idea of when I O. I have learned that TTC just plain sucks and that everyone needs to find what works for them. I get freaked out if I know too much or too little. Balance has never been my forte, but I am trying! Thanks sweetie! Wishing you the absolute best and hoping the acupuncture works for you!

CD33 and my temps are still elevated while still getting snowy white BFNs. Still no sign whatsoever of AF....even the cramps have subsided. I really want to just move on so we can try again!

So, two nights ago I took an ovulation test, NEG. Yesterday morning, POS. And yesterday afternoon, NEG. What gives???

@intotheocean: Looks like your surge occurred the day before yesterday and you caught the tail end of it yesterday morning. LH surge occurs in the afternoon/pm so the positive you got was probably from the previous day's surge. I'd say you are in the TWW.
