@Kbee: good luck! I think I saw a chart somewhere that showed 0-3 had a higher chance than o-2
pomelo / 5129 posts
@Aria: I probably have 3 BBTs (I tend to lose things so I've bought plenty of back ups)
So if I get weird temps with one, I try again with another. If you keep getting the same number, I'd try temping at a totally random time of day to see if it's still the same, and then replace it if it is.
persimmon / 1121 posts
@MaryM: I actually tried temping at a random time of day yesterday and the day before. Both times I got 99.8. So I can get a different number but I thought it was odd that it was the same number both times.
I went back and looked at my chart and I've only gotten two different temperature readings (aside from my random test) for the past week and a half. Either 97.8 or 98.4. I think I will be getting a new thermometer. At least that way I'll know if it's me or my thermometer.

@Kbee: Welcome back!
@Aria: You might want to pay extra close attention to other signs this month because your temps will probably be thrown way off (unless you're still super early in your cycle).
persimmon / 1121 posts
@MaryM: OPKs have me at 4dpo so I think it'll be okay. I might just hold off until I get a or AF though.
I guess the thing that was stressing me out about it was whether the lowish post-o temps would impact the possibility of getting a BFP, or whether I actually ovulated at all.

@MrsB2012: my little one is 10 months too! And right after he was born I looked at my husband and said "I want another. NOW!" Lol

@septca: I have stage III endo, so its doubtful...but there is still a tiny possibility! I would end our forever debate over whether we're having one or two
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@grizz: Seriously. I also have endo and had lots of trouble conceiving DD, but not so much this time (got KU, then had a CP, right after weaning).

@grizz: Good luck!!
The saga of attempting to schedule a followup appointment with my OBGYN continues today. At least I wasn't put on hold/transferred around for 10 minutes again today, but I was still sent to voicemail...and my calls are NOT being returned! (I've called Friday, Tuesday, and today)
I mean, really?
When I left my VM Friday I figured I wouldn't hear anything back until this week, but if someone calls every day, wouldn't you give them a call back? Even if it was after hours I wouldn't mind. I just want to make sure I get an appointment with my doctor, and I'm guessing chances are getting slimmer the closer we get to the appointment time...

@intotheocean: haha, I did the same thing. Only, he looked back and was like "me too!" I wasn't expecting that. It made our baby fever worse having a really well behaved baby for the first 8 months. The last 2 have been questionable, but getting a bit better.

Ok, so yesterday I got a smiley around 1230pm. First smiley and tons of EWCM, so I figured I would O within the next day or so. Tested again this morning at 9am and about 12:30pm- both are empty circles! Gaaaah. So only one day of smileys? Usually I get two full days ... Does this mean I O-ed sometime last night or this morning??
We DTD last night but now I'm thinking that's not enough
pomelo / 5129 posts
@pinkcupcake: Luckily, the smileys mark the time before you O, so chances are you weren't too late even if you did O last night or this morning. And you might even DTD today just in case
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
@MaryM: Thanks for weighing in! Yeah, I think we will tonight just to cover our bases.
pomelo / 5129 posts
@pinkcupcake: You might like this too
Chance are highest right around O anyway.
pear / 1697 posts
@pinkcupcake: You should ovulate sometime within 12-36 hours of your first positive OPK/solid smiley. Many (maybe most?) women only get one day of positive OPK. Your odds for getting preggo are best for intercourse/insemination in the three or four days before o and on the day of o. So, you still have time to get down today. You could do tomorrow too if you want to be thorough. Or just want to.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
@lilyofthewest: ahh, I almost feel like I'm relying *too* much on OPKs and missing more of my fertile window by the time I get my positive OPK, I'm due to O within a day or so and I just don't feel like that's enough time. I think next month I'll go back to just focusing on the week or so around O time instead of relying so much on OPKs.
pomelo / 5129 posts
@pinkcupcake: I agree with that. It was a total fluke that we had good timing this month. Had I relied only on OPKs, we would have only hit O and O-1. But since I randomly jumped my husband one other morning, we also hit O-3.
If it doesn't happen this month, I think i'm going to focus on a much wider window instead of waiting so much for other signs.

I'm 7 or 8 DPO today and my temp jumped from 97.9 to 98.2 today. Can it be Monday already!!!!!

@Kbee: it's nice to see you around again! I hope you are getting some answers!

@mrsb2012 We sure are! When are you going to POAS? Tomorrow is 10dpo and I don't currently have a test at the house. So chances are good I'll wait until Friday a.m.

Does anyone have any knowledge of ttcing whil nursing? My baby sleeps through the night and I finally got my period but now I'm pumping more because I'm working more. I work at night. Anyways so will this screw everything up?

So frusterating... Can anyone help me here? I thought for sure I would Have O'd yesterday, but still no temp jump. I did wake up about 2 hours before I took my temp to go to the bathroom, but wouldn't that make my temp higher rather than lower?
nectarine / 2466 posts
@organicmama: I have an obsession with poas, so I started yesterday. Things went well, confirmed today with a digi. You should probably go buy some tests
@anonysquire: I'm breast feeding too. I cut her down to 3 sessions a day to try and help get my cycle back, which I did get back after doing that for a month. Now I try to keep the same routine but sometimes I breast feed her more than that. She used to sleep through the night but now I usually feed her at 5 and 730. It just depends on your body. Some people have to completely wean to get a proper cycle and some can breast feed 24/7 and have a normal cycle. Are you charting? I wasn't going to but it helped see what my body was doing. Good luck

@anonysquire: if you are ttc and got your period back that's great! I didn't get mine until I totally stopped nursing. Exciting!
So this is my first month where we dtd in the right time frame and there is a chance - of course me & DH already are symptom spitting since i was ravenous yesterday and tired. Haha - I think work is just busy and I was hungry due to dreary weather.... Af due tues/wed or so next week, so we will see!
Good luck everyone!

@MrsB2012: wait, what!?! Things went well?? Congrats Lady! Such an early BFP!

@MaryM: I just saw this. I am going to do this the same thing, use wandfos to check progression and thenot verify with a CBE digital (obviously not the advanced. ) I am just so ready to be done with this cycle so I can move on to the next. Thanks!

@KelLeeLeee @marym @as time goes by: Thank you!!
@simplyfelicity: So sorry to hear that this cycle has been dragging out for you!
@MrsB2012: Congrats!!!
pomelo / 5129 posts
@Circusbee: Sometimes it takes a couple days for my temp to actually get up high enough after O. I would just wait a day or two.
@MrsB2012: Congrats!!! Way to start our month out strong!

@anonysquire: I do! I do! But what might explain is best is this:
http://kellymom.com/bf/normal/ttc-while-bf/
A lot of women have success gettin pregnant whilst BFing. I unfortunately am not one of them and will be weaning next month. My advice to you is to chart very throughly so you can see what your body is doing. Good luck!
This cycle is looking like a wash for me. We DTD at what may have been O-2 but I had an endometrial biopsy at possible O and we didn't BD because I was having cramping and bleeding afterwards and still am this AM. Kind of blows but whatever. I also had a weird OPK that was positive for only about 8 hours (possibly up to 15 hours. That's not typical for me. I am also temping this month and my temp still hasn't really risen so we shall see. I'm on CD18 now.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@anonysquire: Like others have said, it really depends on your body... everyone is different. Some people can get KU while BFing without issue, some people need to really cut back on feedings, some people have cycles while BFing, but they don't really normalize until after weaning... you'll just have to try and see what camp you fall in. @MrsMccarthy posted a few really informative links. I found the KellyMom info particularly helpful, mostly because it gave me realistic expectations for TTC while nursing (we started TTC when DD was 9 mo and I completely weaned at 14 mo) - most importantly, that my hormones could still be wacky even if I was having a period (they were) and that my chances of a miscarriage were higher while nursing because of the aforementioned hormone imbalances, especially increased prolactin (I did get KU right after we weaned, but miscarried - it was rough, but I think it would have been A LOT harder if I hadn't known that that was common).

Cycle day: 9
Cycle #: 2!
Ovulation & POAS dates: Just a guess, but going with 6/5 and 6/19 for now! Edd would be around 2/26/15.
Baby #: 2
Your game plan this month: Not sure yet! Possibly doing OPKs just depending on whether I feel like it would be less stressful. Possibly just ntnp. We'll see.
Chart link: n/a
Good luck to everyone!
@grizz: Good luck for whatever result you want! I'm shocked you're here!!!

I was good and booked myself a Dr appt. I'm hoping at the very least I can get prescribed some good drugs to make it through AF. I'm guessing my GYN will suggest trying for a few more cycles before any interventions, but, I'm at least getting the ball rolling in terms of saying, "this is not normal!"
