Welp, I'm going to go ahead and call it. I *think* I O'd either CD 16, 17, 18, or 20. So that would make me anywhere from 2-7 DPO today. I'm going to choose somewhere in the middle and go with 4 for now
@hellonheels can you please move my POAS date to 6/7? I may start on the 6th, by I'll try to wait until the 7th.

@onthemove: good luck! That would be awesome if you got pregnant this month

@onthemove: I put your POAS for the 10th. Is that okay, or would you like to me change it?
pea / 20 posts
@aria @intotheocean Thanks! It would be crazy lucky if we caught it on the first month, but fingers crossed since we only have a clear 2 month window to catch my mat leave before my work contract ends. We'll see!!
@hellonheels I'm going to try to hold out on testing until at least the 15th, hopefully until the 22nd, but we'll see how long I make it before I crack! I'd rather wait than get early false negatives.

After AF being a week late due to an anovulatory cycle, I am so sooooo relieved to be on CD 1! Best of luck to everyone!
Cycle day: 1-- never thought I would be so happy to get AF!
Cycle #: 3
Ovulation & POAS dates: I will update later but let's just say June 30th for now.
Baby #: 1
Your game plan this month: OPKS, track lightly on FF, no symptom spotting, use preseed. Basically, do this "well" using the knowledge I have gained and then let go and let God. Don't need to make my life about this. I had one cycle end in a CP and the next, anovulatory, I need to give myself a mental break!

@meredithNYC: I'm using clearblue OPKs (not advanced, just the regular digitals). I got a ton of error msgs - must have wasted at least 5 sticks - so I called their helpline and they mailed me a new box of tests immediately. You should try giving them a Call

Woohoo, start OPKs tomorrow for the first time. Apparently I'm alerady late to start, oops. Here's hoping this helps.
@pinkcupcake: good to know, those are what I bought.

Another bee good luck to you!! Hoping you'll see that

First time using Clear Blue Advanced OPKs and I got the flashing smiley today at CD11. If you've used these before, how many days of flashing smileys did you get before the solid smiley? I'm trying to time it so I get O-2 and O, I've been doing O-3 through O+1 every other cycle so I want to try something different!
@simplyfelicity: glad your out of limbo! Try and focus on some hobbies and anything else you can! I get really obsessed with TTC too so it helps if I get obsessive about something else

@simplyfelicity: I'm not glad you're not pregnant, but I am glad you finally got AF! Does that make sense?
Obsessing over TTC is very stressful, but hard to avoid!

@simplyfelicity: Glad you are out of limbo! I think having an answer one way or another is a relief too.

I'm on CD29 and my temp went up again today. Still having "just about to get AF" type cramps, but no sign of her other than that. Torn between wanting to test every five minutes and just waiting until AF shows up (or doesn't!).

@simplyfelicity: I love your attitude! Hoping this will be your month!
I'm right there with ya @angelachase except I got a BFN again this morning at 13 dpo. Honestly I'm still very hopeful. These cramps have been off and on for several days. And I had a super light bfp with DS at 17 dpo years ago. So I really think I'm a late positive kinda girl

@organicmama: Good luck! Part of it is that I really can't tell exactly when I ovulated this month--my temps were super wacky with traveling, stress, etc. As far as I can tell, it could have been CD17, 18, or 20. So I'm really not sure how many DPO I am--could be anywhere from 9 to 12!
cherry / 230 posts
@Angelachase: do you use OPK's? I only had one left this cycle so I doubt I pinpointed O that way... but I always have O cramping. Now the confusing part is, am I cramping before, during, or after O? Lol! This month we just covered all bases and BD'd a lot more during fertile week. So let's say I o'd on the day I was cramping (CD 17), then we BD'd O-3, O-2, O and O+1. But who really knows. I have no hard evidence! Ahhhh, this 2 ww is extra long!!

@cmomma17: Yes, it totally does make sense! So happy to be "here" with all you lovely ladies! TTC can be like a vortex, I am going to try my hardest to not get swept in.

@angelachase: @organicmama: Thanks, ladies! Sounds like things are super promising for you!

@KelLeeLeee: Thanks! I actually did much better last month aside from unsuccessful symptom spotting and a lazy AF. Perhaps I will become more chill as time goes on?
As far as the advanced go, I read A LOT of reviews on those and found that many women can get a week or so of flashing smiles before the static. As far as BD timing with those things, I would suggest EOD when you get the flashing smile and then ED once it goes static.
I am debating between getting those or buying wandfos and the regular digital OPKS, so I can just use wandfos and then verify with the digital. Would have left over that way, but I really don't want to need "left overs!"

@simplyfelicity: hooray! I'm so glad you get p move on finally. Good luck this month.
I am supposedly 4DPO today but I feel like I either don't ovulate or it won't count because our timing wasn't great and I had an EB that probably compromised and spermies that were hanging around in my ute.

At the risk of sounding crazy, I decided to take an OPK this morning at 8dpo to see what would happen, because I've heard that they can work as hpts. It wasn't positive, but it was darker than it normally would be at this point in my cycle. Normally when they're negative I can barely see a line at all, but it looked more like the ones I got right before I got a positive. I realize this is a totally unreliable way to test and means absolutely nothing, but I'm anxious and trying to stay positive. I have a bad batch of Wondfos and only one FRER I don't want to waste, so I'm trying to hold off actually testing until Wednesday. I think that wait might kill me.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Aria: an HPT would show too if you are. Do you plan on testing? You can get several LH surges in you cycle but it also could be mimicking HCG. I hope it's the latter. Take a FRER to know for sure.
persimmon / 1121 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Well if I'd gotten a fully positive OPK I would test, but I'd rather stay hopefully optimistic than be sad about a at just 8dpo (because it's just way too early!), so I'll be waiting a little longer.

@simplyfelicity: I am happy to see you here!?!? That sounds odd given the circumstances... I am happy your body sorted things out so you can move on!

@angelachase: @organicmama: @Aria: @MrsMccarthy: good luck over the next few days/ week I hope you all get good news!

@Aria: that makes sense. FX!
@As Time Goes By: Thanks sweetie! same goes for you.

Question for those who use wondfos (OPK and pregnancy tests)... The instructions say to test with urine that is 10-30 degrees. Do you wait or test right away. If you wait, for how long?
persimmon / 1121 posts
@As Time Goes By: I never worried about that and always just test right away. I certainly wasn't going to measure the temperature of my pee, too much work, lol! I've never had a problem interpreting my tests, so I wouldn't worry about it.
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@As Time Goes By: Me too! Yes, my body was plain cruel last month. Oh well, onto better things!
cherry / 128 posts
So, I may have to change my POAS date. Still faintest of pink lines on my OPK's and I'm not quite sure if or when I will ovulate.
apricot / 316 posts
@simplyfelicity: wishing you the best luck this cycle. The 3rd cycle was the one that worked for me and for several other bees so I hope it's the one for you too!
Just wanted to say that I don't think you had an anovulatory cycle, you probably just ovulated a week later. Anovulatory cycles are usually longer and irregular so you could only know that by going through several irregular cycles not just one.
That's personally why I like temping BBT because it gives you a more accurate idea of when you ovulate.
Fingers crossed for you!

@simplyfelicity: Welcome! Glad to hear that you are out of limbo! There's something refreshing about a new cycle, even if the last one ended not the way we wanted it to!
@KelLeeLeee: I use the Clearblue Advanced OPKs, and prior to this cycle, I would get flashing smileys for 10-11 days (from about CD 10/11 until 21). Then I would get the static. This cycle was a bit different, the flashing smileys started CD 10 again, but I got a peak CD 15. So who knows? From what I hear the range of # of days for flashing smileys varies a lot between women based on their personal estrogen levels, so like others have mentioned, I'd say BD EOD from now until you get the peak! You'll know more about your cycle after this first month using them, and you can use that to plan your next cycle (although we hope there's not a next cycle!!).

@Aria: I think I've heard that an OPK picks us hcg after a HPT, so a HPT would be + before an OPK. Not sure where I heard that though?? Good luck waiting til Wednesday, it's so hard, for me at least I'm 2 days behind you at 6 dpo and I'm going crazy!!
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
@pinkcupcake: holy cow I got a so yay for that, but does starting after the recommended cycle day affect anything? Seems weird that I'd be gearing up to o on cd12!
Thoughts anyone??
