I'm here at 2 DPO... this TWW is going to draaaaaaaggg!
Question for you ladies - do you test on a special occasion/day of the week or just whatever DPO you set in your mind as "test day"?
I find I move around every cycle depending on the day of week (always weekends if I can swing it) or special occasion (e.g. valentines day, Mothers Day).

@organicmama: @Kbee: @MaryM: thank you ladies I wasn't going to put it on here as I wasn't roll called, but hopefully I'll see a bunch of the mommas on here on the February board once it gets going. I'm quite nervous as it's so early and my lines didn't darken today ( tho I did get a yes on a digi so I guess that means something. ) Hopefully tomorrow I get a darker line on my frer's I bought today for backup comfort. Good luck to everyone else this month.

@lilyofthewest: Glad you made your appointment, I hope you get some answers.
@Annette: Same here. I'm 5dpo and time is moving sooo slowly. And I know this is totally silly, but even if they're completely unrelated to being pregnant, I want some symptoms to spot to make the wait more exciting. To answer your question, I always just wait until 10dpo to start testing, although I start feeling the pull of my cheapies under the sink at 8dpo, because I know some ladies have seen something that early.

@HellOnHeels: I'm going to test on 6/2! (I'm trying to force myself to hold out that long...) OBSESSING over symptoms this cycle.

@Annette: At 7 DPO. Not sure how I'm gonna handle another week! I always say I'm gonna *try* and wait 'til after AF is due (which is next Friday) but, I've been saying that since the beginning and always end up testing on 10-12 DPO.
I have a bachelorette next weekend and I've told the bride (my BFF that knows we're TTC) that I'll either be on my rag and will be drinking copious amounts, or will be KU and will have to come up with an excuse for not drinking like a fish, lol.

@angelachase: Got it, thanks! FX for you! I hope you give us one of our first BFP's for June!!
cherry / 203 posts
@aria I'm totally the same way. I actually started to record my symptoms in my kindara app because I always seem to notice the same odd thing (random cramps, heartburn, tiredness) on the same days which seems to keep me somewhat in check with symptom spotting!
@hellonheels let's hope you will enjoying that bachelorette sober!! I'm in the same boat in that I have a big work event two days after I test, and if I don't drink my boss will totally notice it!! Here's to lying about being on antibiotics

@organicmama and @angelachase - excited for you ladies to kick off June testing with some BFPs!!

@HellOnHeels: @Annette: Thanks! I am feeling kinda hopeful--high temps, really really sore boobs, weird feelings that aren't quite cramps but are more like.....twitches or something? But, we will see. Just a few more days!
apricot / 306 posts
@Annette: @HellOnHeels: I also have some work events/friends plans coming up in the next few weeks where it would be very, very conspicuous if I weren't drinking at all. It's already on my mind what to say!

I always plan to not symptom spot...but sure enough, CD 6 is here and I'm feeling crampy.
Stop getting your hopes up Mary!

@Annette: Yep, I always aim for weekends to POAS too, if at all possible - I'd hate to have to go into work right after getting a BFP, I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything!

@MaryM: I'm cramping and I haven't even O'd yet!
This morning when I took my prenatals I was thinking "surely before this strip is done I'll have a BFP".. I can't believe I was almost making a bet with myself that I'd conceive before my vitamins run out! Crazy!

Yeah, I have learned to never symptom spot again. I had more symptoms this month vs last month and I was KU last month. I felt all the twinges, boobs aches and even spotting at 8dpo...and nothing. I sometimes wish TTC wasn't so educational.

Well I found out today that one of my good friends is pregnant. I'm over the moon excited for her, but a tiny part of me is so sad and jealous that it's not me. I would love it if I got my BFP next week, because our babies would only be about a month apart, but that means it's going to sting that much more to see a BFN. No one IRL knows we're TTC, so I have no one to vent to except DH, who doesn't really get it.

Is anyone else using the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests? I just started and I'm so annoyed because the first two tests have resulted in "error" reads in spite of the fact that I have read the directions a million times and follow them exactly.
I'd hate to think I wasted $35.00 on a defective test!

@Aria: I'm right there with you! My BFF had a "scare" last week and a part of me wanted to say, "you better not get KU before me!!" - She's getting married this summer, they have tons of debt already and she's on medication that has a strong possibility of causing major deformities if she were to conceive while on them.. In other words, no where near ready to have a baby. BUT, I did the right thing and just said supportive things... I told DH about this and he told me to relax and who cares if anyone else gets KU. Totally doesn't get it.

It looks like maybe, possibly, hopefully my body is gearing up to ovulate this month! I haven't ovulated since getting KU with my son so this is interesting. I always had stark white tests and this afternoon had a faint line. THANK GOD. Please O! PLEEEEAASE! Lol

@simplyfelicity: Me too! Last cycle I had some pretty strong symptoms. Actually, I'm having some symptoms right now and I haven't ovulated yet, haha! Any sign of AF for you?
cherry / 107 posts
I'm feeling exceptionally frustrated today. I should be about 10 days prior to O...and instead today I suddenly start bleeding. WTH? Seriously? And of course I was taking a lazy month chart-wise because we had a 5 day vacation I knew I wouldn't be able to temp normally during, so I really have no clear idea of my temps. I took the first OPK for the month yesterday because I'd had 2 days of wet CM, usually my sign to start watching closely, and it was the typical "shade" of negative for 10 days pre-O. Now I'm just completely confused. I have more bleeding than to be considered just spotting. I'm only on CD 17. I don't even know what to think. Should I talk to my OBGYN? Should I try the Vitex I have hanging around? Just wait it out? I have no clue what's up, but it certainly does not instill optimism for fertility. Open to anyone's thoughts on this one.

@KelLeeLeee: Just spotting for the past two days but no AF...
honeydew / 7295 posts
@simplyfelicity: have you taken a pregnancy test just in case?
@drjolene: perhaps you are just having an off cycle? Is it a full bleed or just spotting? Have you tested just in case? Some women bleed during pregnancy.

@MrsMccarthy: I did today. BFN. I feel like such a whiner because I just had a mini-meltdown. It's been a hard couple months. Sorry, weak moment over, I had too many end of the school year margaritas.
nectarine / 2465 posts
@simplyfelicity: at least there's margaritas! And the ability to be allowed to drink them, right?
cherry / 107 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Seems like it's full on bleeding, it's bright red (TMI, sorry) and heavy for spotting. I'm doing a four-hour hold then plan to POAS and an OPK for good measure. Just in case. My last cycle was weird and I'm not sure I actually ovulated, so maybe it's just a little of a mess in there still lol.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@simplyfelicity: aw honey you aren't a whiner! You had a loss. That's very hard no matter when it happens. Hugs. I'm pulling for you!
@drjolene: hahahahaha! A mess in there! Love it. That's how I feel too since I had my endometrial biopsy. I just feel like I'm all screwy inside. I hope it clears up soon and ends in BFP!

I'm pretty sure I'm out. My temp is still up, but hasn't risen, and the twinges have turned into full-on AF-is-coming cramps. Tested this morning at 10ish DPO and got a stark white BFN. On to cycle 3 (probably!).
nectarine / 2465 posts
@angelachase: you are so not out! 10 dpo is way early, and AF cramps are a common symptom
cherry / 107 posts
I'll change my dates to TBD as of today, AF is here to stay but I'm not counting myself out for an earlier O date this month considering my body is all over the place. I'll just be a spectator for now and update my POAS date when something new happen. Tomorrow's June 1, bring on the BFPs!
apricot / 306 posts
@KelLeeLeee: Thanks for the encouragement! In a weird way, it kind of makes me feel better to assume I'm out. I HATE just waiting in limbo (in TTC and in life!) and so I feel calmer if I start moving on mentally. Otherwise I just torture myself with crazy mind games! "I have AF cramps BUT my temp hasn't dropped BUT my boobs aren't aching like they were BUT I'm only 10 DPO BUT the test was negative" etc etc etc. Maddening!
persimmon / 1121 posts
@MrsStar: Yay! Go get some!
@drjolene: Ugh, I'm sorry. I hate when our bodies do weird things, so frustrating!!
@angelachase: As long as your temp is still elevated it doesn't have to rise again to be pregnant. 10dpo is still early! I understand the feeling of wanting to move on though.
nectarine / 2465 posts
@angelachase: I understand 10000% I'm the say way, I'd rather pretend I am not and then be surprised than get my hopes up!

Jumping in! I'm at CD 11 today, probably will O today or tomorrow. It's our first month TTC and we only decided, um, yesterday morning that we'd try this month. We're spur of the moment folks clearly.
