I love baby names and can usually see the plus side of a name even if it's not my taste. Having said that....
I can't stop thinking sperm when I read it. So not a huge fan.

Definitely not a name I would chose, but it reinforces their faith and intentions on child raising, so whatever for me. Maybe they'll call him by his middle name?
But, the first image I had was of a Sturgeon.

I really wish they had called him Elliott Spurgeon instead and reversed the order of his name. I don't think Spurgeon is a bad middle name at all but as a first....meh.

I don't think it's bad. But I think it's because I worked with a Spurgeon who was very smart, nice, and a good leader. So it has a good connotation to me.

I also wondered why not use Spurgeon as a middle name. At least Elliott is an option if he so chooses later in life!

I don't like it at all. But it's still probably the least offending thing about the Duggars.... So there's that.

I just read he is still being called by his nickname from before he was born. Which is Quincy. Much better name!

While I don't like the name, I think it's better than Jinger or Jordyn which both look like stripper spellings; so, not the last on my Duggar name list.

I actually like the name. The whole name sounds very old fashioned and I get that they respect Spurgeon. Its the same way I really love Oswald Chambers and thought Oswald would be sorta cute in an old fashioned way - but my friend beat me to the punch and named her cat Oswald! So we got our Oz fix that way.
I also like their name much better than some of the super "unique" names that are popular these days.

and my kids have very straightforward top 10 names which I've seen others not love.BUT...that video said they were calling him Quincy so maybe they'll still do that?? I hope..I also immediately thought Sturgeon..
