So where does your name rank on the 2011 list?
Our first daughter's first name is 241 (holding steady), her middle name is 182 (not sure where that compares to prior).
Our second daughter is not on the list for her first name or nickname and her middle name is 803.

Robert is #61! I looked up the past 10 years and it's been steadily declining every year. In 2009 it was #29. Pretty weird.

Our little girl's name has been on a steady decline since 2000. She's in the 100's now.

#236 for Charlie, although it seems to be really popular in Brooklyn. We hear parents calling Charlie all the time at the playground and it must be confusing to him. Charlie has actually been increasing in popularity over the past 10 years going from the 400's to the 200's.
Olive is #416 and has been increasing in popularity in recent years as well.

DS's is in the 50's, but our spelling isn't even on the list. Suprisingly, his middle name is in the top 20!

@mediagirl: I think it is so classic. I also was surprised that it is so popular, but the nicknames are endless, so I guess we probably see more kids using the nicknames than the full name. It is Mr. Jacks' paternal grandmother's name

DD's name is not on the list. I really thought it would crack the top 1000 this year! Her middle name is #50!
According to the SSA website, only 66.9% of all girls' names are represented in the top 1000 in 2011. So, even though a name in the top 10 doesn't automatically mean that there will be 5 Sophias/Isabellas/etc in a class.

Our only goal was not to pick in the top 10 most popular, but in the end popularity didn't matter- we loved the name and it just fit him! His middle name is a family name on my husband's side.

Our girl name was ranked 276 last year, our boy name made it into the top 100 this year at 93 (first time in last 10 years.)
