@mrsmenow: it sounds like your hubby is using the bathroom as decompression time. A friend who is a counselor told me that each spouse should have 15-30 min when they get home from work to decompress and get in the "home" mindset. No talking to anyone, just sit and zone out or play on your phone or whatever you need to do. It's better for your relationship!!

I'm pretty quick in the bathroom. DH not so much. Yesterday, he got the stomach bug, so it was kind of crazy. Late last night, I got it too. I also tend to be quick because baby needs tending to. I've found if I have to go and DH isn't around to help with the baby, the Bumbo and some toys lets me go to the bathroom easier.

@Emsmems: A nice thought in theory but by the time my husband gets home from work I have already picked the baby up from day care, washed the bottles she used that day and the pumping bottles and parts that I used that day, and prepared the bottles for the next day and packed any additional stuff that needs to go to day care, and played with the baby and nursed the baby and given the baby a bath and possibly put her down for a nap..... so it would be tough for me to feel bad about not giving him time to decompress when he gets home... mama needs some help : )

@MamaMoose: true! They have 2 kids and I'm not sure how they do it, but it's definitely a theory!! Haha!

@Emsmems: I wish this were the case, but he even takes this long on the weekends. Even if it were true, he gets home and we have 3 mouths to be fed, washed, and bathed so there really isn't time for that. and I work nights (7p-7a) so sometimes I need to begetting ready to leave . We do usually take time once everyone is to bed to just hang and touch base just the two of us. I do wonder how your friends found time for that right when they got home, our house is controlled chaos at hat point in the day...

I have never been a regular #2'er, so it takes me a while. I swear i've been constipated since birth.

@rachiecakes: I thought I was the only one who does this . . . otherwise, my eyebrows would be in sad shape!

The days I get in and get out quickly I celebrate! It takes me so long it's super annoying. I have always had tummy troubles.

I haven't been able to really sit since I had LO. She has perfect timing and always cries when I sit down! it's a rushed affair here.

lmao!! I was going to post something like this today, too! I can't understand why it takes men so long to go to the bathroom. Maybe they just enjoy the chance to sit down, whereas women always sit so we don't see the need to spend any more time on it?

@mrsmenow: This is the iPhone/iPad time breakdown in the bathroom:
- do the necessary within about 45-90 seconds
- 2 minutes on Gmail, deleting spam
- 5 minutes on ESPN / other sports blogs, checking out the starting lineup for tonight's game
- 5 minutes updating apps or fiddling with Settings/WiFi, because that stupid red circle is always there
- 3 minutes on that game that we tried to finish on the subway but man, this level is tricky, aww, I died again?
- 2-7 minutes on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tumblr, or Reddit, because God forbid that I miss a picture of LOLcat
- 1 minute on Hellobee checking DW's recent posts, you know, just in case
- 3 minutes staring into space, vacantly
- 30 seconds of "Yes, I know, I'm coming, hang on"
Which totals around 23-30 minutes.

DH is in there forever and I'm like getting out of there. Um....I think he does it to have some space sometimes, but I'm like WTH are you doing in there?!

I'm in and out. DH is pretty quick but he goes so many times a day! It drives me nuts. He also conveniently has to go when I ask him to unload the dishwasher or take out the trash. Ugh!
