I'm excited and had to share, just ordered 3x Charlie Banana pocket diapers on an offer from Zulily (a flash sale site) they were about 30% off so I decided to bite the bullet and buy a few to try when LO arrives...
Ordered in turquoise, yellow and green - they are so cute, I may just have to test them out on a teddy bear when they arrive

Yay! I haven't yet, but we had such negative reactions from friends and family about wanting to CD that I'm slightly put off doing it now 
I think we'll probably get a few pairs of CD and a few packs of disposables and see how we get on.

@illumina: I've only mentioned to my mum, DH and one friend... I'm sure we'll get some funny reactions once I start talking more openly about it. Of all my friends I'm probably the most "hippy" so I doubt it will really surprise anyone though! We're planning to start off with disposables (but hopefully buy the 'biodegradable' ones) and then move onto cloth once LO is a few weeks old and we've got the hang of things a bit.
Not planning to build a huge stash in advance just in case we decide its not really for us, but keen to give it a go and see how we get on. Don't let other people's negativity put you off, your baby, your rules! xx

@illumina: I got so many negative reactions! I finally started telling them that they can decide what kind of diapers I can use when they start doing my laundry. They ask all the time if I still use them. I love getting to (smugly?) answer yes.

Congrats!!! CB's were one of the first brands I tried when I saw them on zulily. They have been my favorite since!

@mrsjyw: aw thats sweet of you... but I am in the UK (and guess you are in the US?) so postage might be a pain... I think for now I am going to wait until LO actually arrives before I buy too many of one brand, just in case the CB's don't work out best for us. But thanks!

@illumina: Every time someone puts down one of my choices, it just makes me that much more determined to make it work. My mother is strongly against cloth diapering, so I've got no support from her on it.

@weagle I used CDs for all my kids and I it never gets oldlove naysayers that we didn't give up CDing our kids - I think it's great that I'm using prefolds and stuff from my first baby on my third.

Stash building is so fun! I practically made an Olympic sport out of it during pregnancy. I've been happy with our Charlie Bananas. They are on the trimmer side and fit my LO well. They also turned out to be DH's favorite brand.

So exciting! I LOVE our cloth diapers!
@illumina: We got a lot of scoffing looks and "well you just wait" comments from our family. I think they were picturing old school cloth diapers--the kind with the diaper pins. Once they saw them in action, though, their tunes changed, and my MIL now raves about them to her friends (and bought us half a dozen more).

@FutureMrsMcK: Yeah.. my parents used the old school cloth diapers on me for like 1 week and then quit. I even showed my Dad photos of the BumGenius ones online and he was like "I still don't think you can handle it... and babies can't move around properly in them" ok.

Don't let anyone discourage you! I built my stash during pregnancy, and I'm so glad I did. I love them, and so does LO! We don't have a single disposable in the house and I never intend to.

My parents kinda think I'm crazy for wanting to use CDs too. But they did say they'd support whatever we want to do and would use whatever diapers we had on hand.
