Does anyone have experience with stride rite outlets? I'll wondering if they've got good deals, or if they're like Carter's outlets as are exactly like the retail stores?

ha, i was curious what Statics meant!
There's a Stride Rite outlet here and I've bought E shoes there for $20ish apiece. I think last time they had buy one get one half off. It was definitely limited in styles but all i really wanted were some tennis shoe style shoes, anyways. And i wanted to get her properly sized...i finally bought myself a Squaatchi measuring tool on Amazon so i can keep up with her shoe sizing at home and just order online for better deals

@blackbird: $20 a piece is pretty good! But let's say you need to return for some reason....would you have to return to the outlet or could you return to any stride rite?

@ShootingStar: not stride rite outlets but you should check out shoebuy.com and 6pm.com, I always find really good stride rite deals on both sites! 6pm is just cheap and shoebuy is always having promotions!

@ShootingStar: The nearest Stride Rite to me is an 'outlet' and I've never been to a regular store of theirs, so I can't compare specifically. But, the shoes I bought were about $35 at the outlet, and they have a very similar style online right now for $42, so I guess that was a savings. I didn't watch for a promotion or anything, though- C had just started actually walking and I wanted to get her sized and a pair of shoes that fit right away.
ETA: Oh and C was so excited about the shoes that she wore them out of the store, so I didn't look at the return policy at all.

They always seem to have buy one get one half off so perhaps that is the difference between the outlet and retail store. I love the outlet since I can get shoes whenever the kids need them instead of waiting for a sale.

I ended up going yesterday and it seemed like they had the same stuff as in the stores, but they were a few dollars cheaper. They were also running 2 sales - buy 1, get 1 40% off, and 70% off of clearance. I was able to find one pair of shoes I liked in the clearance section and they ended up being $12! Regularly priced at $42 :).
