Toiletries, kitchen gadgets, socks, books, magazines, a bit of candy, scratch tickets, candles and any small items that will be used. Going to the dollar store is good to find things.
For DS who will be 9 months I've gotten a few wooden toys, a toothbrush, socks and one other toy. I'm going to pick up a straw cup and probably a Christmas book.
