What are some good stocking stuffers for a 1, 3 and 6 year old?
In the past I've done bubbles, lip balm, silly putty, small books and even socks and undies, haha! But I need some new ideas!

Not much new, but this is what we're doing for our 2.5 year old and 1 year old:
Stuffed raindeer
Book
Socks
Underwear (for the older one)
Toothbrush/Toothpaste
Bath Toys
Chocolate Candies (we always got those chocolate coins)

Bath toys are a great idea - I would also include bath paints. There's also finger puppets. Those awesome mini-Lego kits. Small stuffed animal. Perhaps a new, meaningful ornament. For B I might make him some 'coupons' - things he can do with you or DH that are just for him. Mini-puzzles. Maybe a fun kit to make something!

@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: the coupons are a great idea!
I completely forgot about little action figures. I always think of big games or toys that can be wrapped for gifts but I forget that kids really do love small things.

3 year old - "itty bitty" Rapunzel, toothbrush and toothpaste, a set of Princess gel pens, bracelet, shopkins mystery ornament, a my little pony fashem surprise thing, and I think some mystery eggs!
11 month old - an indestructibles book, toothbrush, "itty bitty" Olaf, a pair of socks

@sorrycharlie: okay...what IS/are Shopkins?!? E seems to be interested but I have no idea what it is. Why does it say "episode" on the cover? I don't get it!

So far we have the following:
lego christmas tree kit, small crocodile creek puzzle, lacing toy, dinosaur 3d puzzle, card game, and stickers

DD1 44m: mini blue flashlight she's obssesed with that's DAddys, a blue bell for her scooter she's been asking for, frozen band aid, my neighbor Totoro DVD
DD2 (16m): she keeps drinking out of her sisters FOOGO so I'm going to get her one.
Both girls will get matching bunny boot socks

LO will be 3 in March. She is getting sunglasses, stickers, Soapsox, couple $1 section Cinderella toys, Peez dispenser, and a small puzzle.
I only get fun stuff. I just don't think a toothbrush and toothpaste are fun stuff to get. Yeah she gets excited when I let her pick them out, but not when we have to actually brush her teeth.

I'm bad with stockings, in that I always go way overboard, but my whole family is that way - our "stockings" are generally the stocking in a chair and the whole chair full of presents, at least for the kids. So I've got a few books, a Soapsox, a stuffed Bullseye toy, a puzzle, some squirty bath toys, and a few little trucks and Fisher Price animals for his farm set.

@regberadaisy: haha! I got them all Foogo water bottles last year for their stockings. So great because they take up a lot of room!

@Smurfette: Lol, true...I think B would probably be bummed about a tooth brush since he wasn't thrilled about undies last year

I need to go hit the Target $ spot for bath crayons! My daughter loves those. So far I have some magic clip dolls, a necklace, some bracelets and some of her favorite gummies. She will also get an orange and a snow globe, if I can find the one she wants.

My DD will be 3 in April. I'm going to put some child friendly nail polish in her stocking this year!! Otherwise just boring stuff like socks and undies.
coconut / 8472 posts
We're doing: crayons, small containers of play doh, new utensils (he LOVES spoons so I got him a bunch of Re-Play ones in his favorite colors) and I'm not sure what else.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@yoursilverlining: more deets about the bath colors? DD2's stocking is sad so this might be fun to add in.
I actually have a unopened pack of bath crayons but sadly she's still putting stuff in her mouth!
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
LO is getting a Soapsox, some Magiclip princess dolls, and some stickers in hers.
grapefruit / 4355 posts
Growing up, a lot of things in our stockings or not always "fun". We would get things like toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, underwear, socks, etc. in addition to some fun toys like you have already mentioned. There are usually some snacks/food type items as well. So it was part fun and part useful accessories!
nectarine / 2115 posts
Our 1.5 year-old is getting: bath toys, a light-up spinning toy, toy food (she's getting a toy kitchen), a bath puppet, some yogurt bites, a small musical instrument, and a hat.
pineapple / 12234 posts
@chopsuey: love that! And an iTunes gift card is a good idea...just for M or for J too? B is old enough to understand there is a limit so he should only use it for what really interests him.
E, on the other hand, convinced me to buy a Barbie app last night. Then there were 4 other purchases within the app. I told her she could choose one and then she changed her mind after she picked one/I bought it, haha. Sooo I can imagine that gift card being wasted

@regberadaisy: Sure – we’re used (and liked) these: http://www.amazon.com/Play-Visions-Crayola-Dropz-Tablets/dp/B00009KWTB/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449521124&sr=8-1&keywords=crayola+color+bath+tablets
I found them at Target. I usually let LO pick 2-3 colors to use in the bath. Just drop them in and they fizz and change the color of the water. It’s an easy way to teach them about color combinations and which primary colors make other colors.
I also found a Frozen one at Five Below, it’s a bigger “bomb” and turns the water pink, then blue, then purple – I can’t find it online though right now.

Small stuffed animal

paint brushes
hair bows
new beanie hat
fruity candy
socks
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@HLK208: haha they each get their own. J is a fickle pickle too, so we'll have to make sure it's something he REALLY wants before purchasing
bananas / 9118 posts
Just fun little stuff- Action figures, a couple new ornaments, matchbox cars, a mini kaleidoscope, mini harmonica, a few of the Schleich plastic animals, and some candy.
