I'm just about 16 weeks and my lower stomach (pelvic bone up to belly button) has started to peel. Um, weird. Has anyone experienced this?
I have been wearing panty hose more than usual, so maybe that's the issue?

I would think the pantyhose might be causing it. They seem to dry your skin out more. I would just lotion extra throughout the day where you notice the dryness/peeling.

Thank god I can toss the panty hose after this week (been having to wear suits for 2 wks straight!) I was like, oh my god, please don't let it be stretch marks already!

It probably was the pantyhose and I'm sure some extra lotion will help! And glad you get to throw them out, pantyhose are no fun!

It's never happened to me, but do you cream yourself? I know your skin stretches and its itchy, so many thats the reason?

On a side note, I remember one of my highschool teacher would put cream on her feet on top of her panty hose. It freaked me out. But maybe her feet were extra dry

Its mostly likely dry skin due to all the stretching. Drinking plenty of water and using a moisture intensive body lotion should help

I used Aquaphor faithfully every single day on my abdomen during pregnancy (until I became allergic to it, then I switched to another lotion). I'm sure it's only a coincidence, but I ended up stretch mark free as well!

My stomach isn’t peeling (and I wear tights or pantyhose almost every day for work), but is super dry! I use my regular lotion (Cetaphil), and then also use this body oil for pregnancy made by Dr. Hauschka. Sometimes I’ll even put a little extra lotion on top of that, but using that combo has really helped a lot. Now I don’t have itchy belly skin anymore!

So, it's happening again (more on my stomach than uterus area! But, I haven't been wearing pantyhose. Looks like me and baby have had a pretty big growth spurt over the last week, so that could be it. I started using cocoa butter stretchmark cream - stay away stretch marks!

Shea butter and neem oil! I hate peeling. I am only really putting lotion on my belling and breasts, so I have noticed other peeling, but my belly is liking the shea butter.
