Did anyone's LO get "stranger danger" with particular family members? K has always been super social and loves parties and strangers. She is often the one seeking out strangers' attention - she is affectionately known as a our little ham.

Today she had the first and only ever FREAK OUT when she saw my parents and brother. They have been out of the country and haven't seen her in a month, but it still shocked us all since it was so out of character for her.

It happened in a hospital room (my sister just had a baby), so everyone was thinking it was a combo of the small, dark room + lots of people? But we were just there yesterday and she was happy as a clam. And she's never been a shy one at parties.

We're really shocked by how scared and clingy she was. We'd never seen her like that. She wouldn't even look at my parents for the first half hour we were there. She eventually warmed up to my brother and mom. But my parents said they had never heard of, or experienced "stranger danger" and you could tell my dad was already losing interest in LO.

Hoping it was a one-off, and maybe due to teething? (She is cutting another 2 teeth). Anyone have stranger danger to close family? Or a once/twice incident only? I'm hoping it's not a long phase. (LO turns 10 months tomorrow...)
