@MrsCB: I didn't use my stroller seat until my LO was 7.5 months (my LO is a peanut, and even then it still seemed so big for her!). I think it (the 6 month indication) has more to do with being able to secure your LO with the harness than the recline.
FWIW, both the main seat *and* the second seat fully recline on the B-Ready (I have the 2012 B-Ready).
ETA: Oh, and I am right there with you @ #FTMcluelessness!

I don't know about the City Mini, but on the model of Britax stroller I had, you could take off the entire toddler seat to strip it down to just the frame. I discovered it by accident and did it on purpose to clean it after a vacation.

The mamas and papas sola faces backwards and reclines pretty far. I remember looking at this one when I was stroller shopping.

@zippylef: so you don't feel like you could use either without the bassinet for a newborn?

@Mrsbells: it depends how far back they recline...for a newborn/young infant they need to be flat, and it seems like not all do!

@TurtleDoves: that bagile looks super cute with the bassinet! And I"ve seen the city mini with bassinet like the picture I posted so I think you can take the stroller fabric off so it's just a frame. It looks crazy, I know!

@hilsy85: I'm pretty obsessed with it so far. It feels/looks like a higher quality than the price suggests, and it's got all sorts of positions you can put everything in. it.
