They've been building houses behind us for months now. I thought they were done with all the major stuff, but they started banging at 630 this morning. It woke DS up of course. Not a happy mama this morning.

Sort of related story: A long time ago, before marriage and children, I was working at Denny's while living with my parents. I usually worked 2nd shift, but I would occasionally be asked to stay and work 3rd also. I'd be home around 4-5 am, and I'd be completely exhausted from the night before. One of these times, at 8 the next morning, my parents decided it was time to re-tile the laundry room, which was RIGHT under my room. I started hearing hammering and whatever noise that comes from that. I was so annoyed. I went downstairs, asked them if they knew I came in late from work, and my mom said yes. So, I asked them then WHY are they doing that this early?? They felt bad and stopped, lol.

It's funny, cause with my younger brother, who is 9 years younger than me, years later when DS and I came to live with my parents after I split from DS's dad, they were so adamant about DS being quiet in the mornings so that my brother could sleep. He was in high school, and this was on weekends. I didn't like telling my toddler at 10 in the morning on Saturday mornings to be quiet. 8, maybe, but it's not like my brother had been working all night.
Story of my life, though.
