Do you find that sugar affects you differently now that you're pregnant? I used to drink a 12oz coffee every morning before I got pregnant. When we started trying, I switched to decaf and then once I got pregnant, I stopped altogether. About a month ago, I had a cup of half-caf cuz I had a terrible migraine and caffeine always helped. It made me feel so wired and jittery that I thought I was going to throw up. I expected the caffeine to affect me, but not that much.

Last week, I stopped at Starbucks cuz I was craving a caramel macchiato. I got a decaf, sugar-free, soy. It still made me feel all jittery. I thought maybe it was a fluke. So this morning, I stopped again to try the salted caramel hot chocolate. I realize that there is some caffeine in hot chocolate, but it's generally pretty minimal. But I still feel jittery and a little short of breath! So now I'm thinking it might be the sugar?

Has anyone else experienced this?
