As we come into summer I am wondering if the Beco Gemini will be too warm? My kids run hot like daddy but we also live up north, so summers don't get too crazy hot.
What's a good alternative? I'm not really into woven wraps because they confuse me!

Huh I hadn't though about the Beco being too warm! (since I had DD in Dec). I only have that and now an Ergo.

@snowjewelz: it's pretty padded! I sweat if I'm wearing anything besides a tank or tshirt. My girls run h o t !

i loved my ergo sport in the summer! but i also went through a previous summer with the beco gemini and i never complained. a ring sling is probably a good option too and easy enough to learn.

We live in Northern Michigan and wore our Beco Gemini throughout the summer last year and it wasn't too hot. We also just wore her in the Beco in Florida last week when it was in the 70s-80s and humid and I didn't feel overly warm. Honestly, the hottest I felt wearing her last summer was in our woven while walking in the heat of mid-day in the warmest part of the summer.
You can also get an Enduracool Towel to put between you to keep you both cool.

A ring sling is a good option for warmer months. It's easier to use than a wrap and great for around the year, so you will get plenty of use. Try linen for more breathability and great support.
