We have lots of clothes for our lo but I know since it will be June when she gets here that it's going to be hot outside! We have a/c in the car but sometimes it just can't keep up with the southern heat.
If your lo was born in the summer, what did you dress them in to come home - a long sleeved, long pants outfit, a long sleeved onesie or a short sleeved outfit with no pants - or something else?

She was in a onesie that buttons in the front, mittens (the only time she ever wore them), a hat, and socks.

Wagon Jr. came home in a newborn sized carter's layette outfit: short sleeved onesie, footed pants, button down cardigan, and hat.
ETA: Uhh... he was a dead of winter baby. Sorry!! 
For this baby (July) I will be packing a short sleeved onesie and pants.

LO was born on August 1st and it was super hot...She came home in a one-piece long-sleeved-with-feet onesie, with 2 receiving blankets on top.

I am wondering the same thing! I want to buy wash and pack the coming home outfit but I have absolutely no idea what to get because LO is due June 14th. Winter would be so much easier to figure out

Short-sleeve onesie, cotton pants with feet, and a muslin AA blanket. For what it's worth, he spent most of his first few months in just a onesie with a muslin blanket if needed.

Since she is a newborn, I think you'll still want to keep her warm-ish. I think a long sleeved onesie, pants, socks, and a hat would be good. You can have a light blanket handy, too. Hehe, I see you are getting ready!!!

I had a personalized diaper cover and a little pillowcase dress made on etsy for her. She wore a little hat and I had a receiving blanket just in case, it was the end of July (hot and humid!)

I would bring her home in a long sleeved onesie, pants, and socks! You'll probably have the a/c running in the car and it'll be cool in the hospital too.

Baby will be here sometime in the next week and I have a longsleeved sleeper with feet, a hat and a receiving blanket packed for him. It's already up around the 90s here and DH LOVES his a/c so I want to make sure LO will be plenty warm.

My twins were born in the end of July and I live in southern California. It was crazy hot. My boys came home in short sleeved indies with short overall cotton bottoms. I had blankets but did not use them. It was near 100 degrees so shorts and short sleeves were fine.

Mid-August baby here (TX) where we had record heat... she came home in a onesie and seersucker short overalls. No blanket and no hat to cover her with.

DD was born in June, but it was still snowing here. We brought her home in a short-sleeve onesie and pants outfit, but I piled two blankets on top of her, too, because it was still cold.

We had LO in a onesie with footed jammies on top, a hat and a blanket. The hospital nurses put everything I brought on! (and were disappointed that I didn't have any gloves for him!!!) And yes, it was 90 degrees outside.

So I think we'll do that with a cotton cap, mittens, yellow striped socks, and an A&A swaddle blanket on top (we live 10 minutes from the hospital).
