My LO is due at Thanksgiving. My aunt knit an adorable orange outfit that has a pumpkin pattern so I think we'll use that : )

We're going to do a kimono style top (like a side snap top) with little footed pants, probably over a simple onesie. But then I've heard that they shouldn't wear onesies until their umbilical stumps heal? I don't know what they supposed to wear until then!

@sorrycharlie: I really have no idea what they're supposed to wear if they can't wear onesies, so I'm going to assume that they're okay unless I'm told differently by the nurses at the hospital! I mean, even sleepers would theoretically rub against the stump, no? Also, your outfit is adorable!! I love the little sweatshirt

I just put him in a cute sleeper and he wore the hat the hospital gave him because his hats were too big!

I never heard that about onesies either. But come to think of it DS wasn't in onesies the first week, he was either naked on my chest or in a sleeper, or wrapped in a blanket.
