We usually have big Sunday night dinners at our house with some assortment of extended family in attendance.
Tonight we had: grilled shrimp and salmon, green beans with garlic, Kashi pilaf, corn with umeboshi paste and tomato mozzarella salad. Yum!

We had a family dinner today too. My brother smoked a brisket, we had loaded potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. Yum! Now it's a frozen pizza for dinner since I'm pooped from swimming all afternoon with the kiddos.

@regberadaisy: My husband is a huge fan, but I can take it or leave it. It doesn't come with any kind of flavoring packet, so tonight I dumped a bunch of Cajun seasoning in.

Wow, this looks delicious. What's on the corn? Sunday dinners are a huge event at our place. Today's menu is a mix of pasta, italian eggplant parmesan, roasted kale, ricotta and sweet potatoes.

@serendipity: We put umeboshi paste on corn instead of butter. It's made with pickled plums - it has sort of a salty, sour flavor that tastes really good with the sweetness of the corn. It's a Japanese thing, and my husband grew up eating it as part of their macrobiotic lifestyle. It's totally weird, but I'm a convert!

I'm jealous of everyone's fancy meals. We're moving next week and totally up to our eyeballs in the disaster that is our home, so we're just doing take out pizza. At least it's fancy pizza w/ lots of veggies and artichokes...

We were at a wedding, so we had wedding food. I picked Oriental, so it was spring rolls, rice and tofu, cheesecake.
