@chopsuey119: Thanks for posting about these. I bought a bag and loved them so much, I just ordered a 5lb bag. I love tapioca so I actually don't mind them when they're "slimy" ( they're yummy in coconut chia pudding). I now use chia instead of flax as an egg replacer. I also gave some to my MIL who has hemorrhoids and she says that two tablespoons a day has made her much more regular.

OK I so want to try this now. The health ben alone sound great. But if they help curve appetite then thats a bonus too!

@Red: Woohoo! Glad they're working out for you and your MIL! I love tapioca! I think the crunchy aspect of Chias are weird. I just swallow them whole.

@chopsuey119: Actually, if you give them enough time and liquids to expand, they lose 90% of their crunch. Try putting at least 4X the liquids as chia seeds and let it sit overnight (24 hrs is even better). I usually just make a whole bunch in a airtight tupperware and shake it up when I'm ready to eat.
