What did you go with?
Personally, I don't like my toddler having a lot of sweets so I went with a non sweet valentine. And it takes care of kids with food allergies as well!
I'm happy daycare will be compiling all Valentines into one bag to bring home so I can decide what to give her!
Did you make / get a sweet or non sweet Valentine for LO's friends?

I am so happy you had the "too young". I was thinking, "Oh goodness! Was I supposed to buy her something?!" ... Maybe next year!

I'm surprised almost all valentines that DS for were sweets or junky! About 14/16.

No sweets but I did consider adding an allergy free gummy snack. LO gave out an eraser dino, bubbles, and play dough.

@littlejoy: LOL DD1 is almost 3 and this is the first year I'm doing Valentines. Last year I felt like I was the only one who didn't hand them out....but she was still so young! I was surprised because there wasn't even a party!

We did a non-sweet but location-specific gift. Bonus--it's where I work so it's free to me (generally would be $.75/child). But I was counting on some ppl doing sweets so i could eat them all...

No allergies in her class so I made sugar cookies shaped like hearts with pink and red royal icing.

I sent a tray for the class "party" (they are babies so I used quotes) - cheese, watermelon & strawberries in heart shapes.

I did bubbles and stickers. LO is only 18 months so too young to give candy out!

We can't bring in food and especially not sweets/cookies/candy of any kind, so I made these - LO picked the stickers and they were super easy to make!

Our preschool does a party with a card exchange, no idea what the snacks are, but my son doesn't eat them anyway, so I don't worry about it.
last night I brought him a huge bakery cookie and he licked off the frosting. Kid loves sweet things, as do I.

I did sweets this year (wasn't going too) but time got away from me and running to the store to get gummy worms was a heck of a lot easier than trying to find bug water squinters like I was going too! Last year I did bouncy balls, but I'm all for a little sweets on special occasions!

I didn't see an option for both lol. I did magnifying glass and lollipop. Did two because I had twins in the same class.
Edit: the lollipop is the organic kind with no added anything, so I liked it.

I have no idea, our daycare didn't mention anything so I'm assuming they didn't do a party for the older kids. My LO is still EBF so I'm assuming he wasn't given anything!

I did paper valentines with an Annie's Organic fruit snacks stapled to it--some of the kids are too young, but I figure their parents can eat it.
So far one parents gave valentines with a bouncy ball, and another gave valentines with goldfish (my LO is intolerant to dairy and can't have them). I saw another mom with lollipops this morning, but I won't give that to LO.

We just did store bought valentines with a Mickey tattoo. Not Pinteresty at all cuz I've got no time for that. But a little girl in his class did little clementines in a bag that said "Orange you glad we're friends?" Cute. And I appreciated that it wasn't sweets.

We weren't allowed to include any sweets or toys/favors with our Valentines for preschool.

Our daycare requested that no sweets be sent in and I was happy about that! The kids made heart shaped pancakes as the treat for the party.
We watercolored our Valentines and put a few heart stickers on each. It was a fun project for LO to work on during the past few weekends.

I couldn't believe the amount of sweets he brought home today. DS is 23 months and we don't give him candy.
