I'd like to get my daughter a swimsuit for the summer but I have some restrictions: No skirts, no bikinis, no tankinis, no characters or words and no ruffles (okay, I may budge on the ruffles but nothing crazy...). Suggestions on where I should look?

I bought LO's first swimsuit from Gap. They have cute ones (mostly with bows and ruffles) but enough option to get away from bikinis.

You sure no ruffles? haha. This one's like $60, which is crazy.
I would check out Gap. They always have lots of affordable kid stuff. Actually they have a cute striped yellow one right now for $20!

We got DD's swimsuit from Target this year. It's a simple design (the only embellishment is a little fabric flower on one shoulder) and the fabric is just striped blue/purple. We'll also get her a rashguard/shorts sunsuit from Costco, when they come out.

The one we have is from Old Navy. It's a one pice bit it does have a tiny skirt on it. I am still thinking swim diaper and rash guard may be the way we go this year. More for the sun protection than anything!

I was just at Carters and Baby Gap this past weekend and both had such cute suits! If you have outlets near you, all the summer stuff (including swim suits) was on sale, too!

There's nothing I love more than babies in swim suits!
J is only 3 months, but I took her to the YMCA kiddie pool just to go "wading". She wore this suit from Old Navy (it came in a lot of clothing I purchased on ebay so I don't know if they have anything like it currently)...

This is the one I got for DD at Gymboree, I loved the colors, although it does have a skirt.
I agree that Target & Baby Gap have a great selection.

I think we'll mainly use a swim diaper and rash guard, but I'll need at least one suit for pictures :). These are all so cute!

The Gap is my absolute favorite. They no longer have the suit that I got LO, unfortunately - otherwise I would post a pic of its cuteness.

I got ours from Carter's. They had a lot of different styles. I picked the rash guards with matching bottoms but they also had some plain one pieces.

Gymboree and Carters both have cute ones. These are the 2 C has for this summer.
