Get both. If no one buys them for you, see if you can find them used. They are a huge help! We have already gone through phases were the swing is the favorite then the bouncy seat is. They're both awesome!

I had both of these. The bouncer is good for being able to take from room to room, but the swing was very nice for naps for a long time. The swing does take up some real estate, but at least it isn't obnoxious looking.

Snugabunny swing has been a lifesaver. DS basically has napped in it since birth and rarely will nap anywhere else. We got a second Snugabunny swing for the in laws....and ben though we were very anti gear in our living room, that's where it sits. Mil had a graco swing from a neighbor and it just is not he same and DS does not like it.

DS likes the vibrating seat but doesn't nap in it.
We have a cheap vibrating chair (fisher price) that he likes too but we don't have the snugabunny one.

Both are great! We leave the swing in our living room for daytime use and the bouncer in our bedroom. Both have been lifesavers!

We have the snugabunny bouncer and swing and they have saved our lives. She slept in the bouncer in our room after she decided she hated the pack n play and the vibration was a godsend to get her to sleep.

She'll be 4 months Friday and she still chills and naps in the swing.

Just as a lone voice of dissent... I'll say we didn't get a swing. We have the Fisher Price Precious Planet Bouncer and it has been worth it's weight in gold. At nearly 5 months we still use it daily (though not as much as when Linus was younger). It works well for naps and doesn't take up a lot of space. I haven't felt that we were missing anything by not having a swing.

And I agree with Zippy and the vibrate on the bouncer....amazing!!

I got both but LO ended up hating both of them! Used each 2-3 times only.

We got the snugabunny bouncer and went with a travel swing on the recommendation of many experienced mom friends I have. Even though it doesn't plug in my friends said they rarely, if ever, had to replace the batteries. It's adjustable in height and folds up pretty small. You could conceivably set it on a kitchen table if you wanted or move it into a bathroom. It doesn't take up as much room as the snugabunny. Im 38 weeks though and don't have any firsthand experience so take this advice with a grain of salt.

We use both, but the swing the most! My husband wasn't a fan of the Snugabunny, so we got a plug in Graco swing and Fisher Price bouncer.

i have both of those! we used the swing more. didn't use the bouncer for that long but it's great to have both.

We got both plus everything else. I know it seems dumb (and I may regret it) but the way I see it: it's best to have it in case we need it. We even bought stuff for my moms house. We got the Franco soothing swing and bouncer. And we got the Fischer prover rock n play. Check these things out:) as far as your house goes: try to empty of a closet (were using my husbands office closet) as a place to fold up baby's stuff and store. I refuse to let my house look like a daycare.

The swing was a life saver for the first 2 months, then we didn't use it as often. LO loved the bouncy/music/vibrating chair from months 3-6ish.
We brought the swing back out a few months ago and LO loves sitting in it.. she climbs on and off. It's like a big floating papasan.
