I'm going to vote during my lunch break and everyone keeps saying us Ohioans may decide the election. Anyone want to try to persuade me to vote for their candidate?
*All in fun, no one get angry!*

I am jealous! This would be a lot more fun/exciting/interesting to live in a swing stage.

I am a swing state voter (WI), I am leaving in a few to do it before the lunch crowd hits!

@mrsjazz: Haha!
@highwire: Sometimes it is fun to feel all that fake power behind our votes, but the campaigning gets CRAZY and obnoxious. The president and Romney have been here a million times over the last few months. My husband got caught up in Romney's motorcade one night a couple weeks ago! And the president even ate lunch in the tiny town I grew up in. This is the hilarious recap of him there. It was even in Time Magazine.

I'm in Florida, but I'm not voting for Romney or Obama. That said, if I believed in choosing the lesser of two evils (which I don't), I'd pick Obama.

How exciting! I feel like there's really no point in voting for prez in Texas...pretty sure I know who our votes will go to!

@Rock n Roll: Where are you from? I'm in TN now but I used to live in Ohio. I miss feeling like my vote matters

Ohio voter here! Yup, I love the feeling that my vote really matters, but I'll be glad if we don't have another Presidential visit any time soon. I can live without the crazy traffic and political ads!

apparently virginia was a big deal this time around. we've had both candidates here multiple times this month -- even just yesterday! my husband works for the department of transportation and their presence has made his job a nightmare, so we're ready for it to be over!

@Mrs. Yoyo: I live in Toledo now. I grew up in a little town near Sandusky and most of my extended family lives in Columbus. Toledo usually goes Democrat so we'll see what happens.

First time ever voting in a swing state (WI) this morning! So exciting! (Just recently moved to the midwest)
@krunrun: Definitely won't miss the ads at all!!

MN voter here and we go back and forth too but we don't have enough electoral votes to actually decide on president.

I'm from Ohio too! I love that the candidates are here all the time! My husband randomly saw Joe Biden the other day in the parking lot of his work place (he works right next to an Obama campaign office).

@mrsjazz: Amazing!
And I'm a Floridan swing voter and went this morning! Both Paul Ryan and Joe Biden have been in town the past couple of weeks. All it really did was mess up my drive to work. I already knew who I was voting for.

Virginia here... we'll see what happens. Turnout in my district was AWESOME--it brought tears to my eyes.
