I early voted on a Saturday and only had to wait about 20 minutes...I was shocked at how quickly the line went!

Well I got there right when it opened and I was voted number 131, and I was standing in line for just over an hour!

About 30 mins but that was mostly because people were checking in and they couldn't find them in the system. So it caused a backup. DH went an hour later and was in and out in 5 minutes.

Probably about 25 minutes at 6:55am (polls open at 7:00). I had to register (since we moved) so I got to jump the line afterwards.

3 hour wait outside in the FL sun! I'm just going to check back later!

Like 15 minutes...I live in a really really small town, though. At least 5 minutes was spent standing at the front of the line while the woman checked me in.

I voted early, and was there when they opened so my wait was like 8 seconds

No line at all. I can't believe people have such long lines. We have 3 or 4 voting locations for each little town around here. I've never waited to vote.

only about 10-15 minutes at 10:30 this morning. it wouldn't have even been that long, but the elderly poll workers didn't know how to operate the computers. haha

No line around 10:30 a.m. I remember waiting for three hours in the rain in '04! Yeesh.

10 minutes during my lunch hour. It would have been shorter but for the two people in front of me, 1 needed a Russian translator and the other one wasn't registered at that location and needed a provisional ballot.

Yikes, DH and I are going after work around 5:30... I'm guessing there will be a big line!

I'm jealous of all of you with short wait times! DH and I kept putting off going to early vote and we ended up having to go this morning at 815ish and it took us 1.5 hours! Lesson learned.

I haven't had a chance to vote yet. I tried to go at lunch and people were saying the line would take about 2 hours. So I'm going to go back after work. I'm guessing it will be longer then!
What's frustrating is that all my co-workers have been able to vote in 10-15 minutes at their polling locations, but I live on the far north side of town where I guess there's a better turnout? It was similar four years ago, so I wasn't really surprised. I guess I should have done early voting!

about 50 minutes at 6am, mostly outside. it was cold. so, so cold (okay not that cold but i feel like being melodramatic).

I got in line at 7:00am and left at 7:25am, so not too bad!

I didn't have to wait in line. I went during lunch at 12:30. I heard the workers saying this was the biggest turnout they have had!

3-4 person line when I early voted last week. It took less than 5 minutes.

I was wondering about the lines everywhere else -- I've been watching CNN all afternoon and they keep showing mega lines. I voted around 11:45 and had only a 3 minute wait.
All the "election officials" are retirees and I think sometimes that slows things down a little bit. My scanning machine jammed when I ran my ballot through, and that kind of threw them for a loop.

Maybe 10 minutes. It seemed longer though because of the slightly creepy, overly friendly guy behind me. I had LO with me in her stroller and he was admiring her. He said "I don't have any kids....that I know of." When he asked how old she was I said 5 months. He looked me up and down and said "Wow, you bounced back fast!" Ugh.

Huge line for last names A-K, NO line for L-Z! Haha early alphabet suckers!

An hour and a half at 9am--I tried to vote after the "before work" voters. Didn't work I guess but when I left at 10 30 the line was just as long.
I had to nurse in the voting line!
There was no division of lines by name.
@BeachMama: GROSS!
ETA The election officials in my polling place said people were lining up to vote at 5am when the election officials showed up--the place didn't open till 6am!

only 5 minutes! I had to go to the town hall to re-register.
so creepy..I was in line holding O in her carseat and the woman behind me asked how old she was. I answered 6 weeks. the woman then proceeded to lean her head over and IN BETWEEN the carseat handle and the carseat canopy to look at her. who does that?!

Surprisingly, There were only 1 or 2 people in front of us in line, and it was 5:45. I figured it would be crowded after work!

only a couple people ahead in line! good thing i went in the evening. earlier in the day the wait was 3 hours.
pomelo / 5628 posts
I was the only person there other than the 4 poll workers (in someone's garage). I voted at about noon.
