I went around 10 AM and we waited for 45 minutes. I didn't bring any snacks or water (left in car) or entertainment for my 3.5 y.o. and thankfully he was pretty cooperative with a little bribe to pick his own bag of chips at the market afterwards. It worked!

Is it considered a normal thing to have such long lines on election day? Do people just accept that that's the way it is? Or do people get angry?

Only 2 people in front of me at 4:45pm. Good thing, too, because I was wearing C and she sometimes gets cranky if she's in a carrier for too long.

Absentee ballot here so that I could GOTV today

There was no line to drop off our absentee ballot, and we just drove up, we didn't even have to get out of the car so it was awesome!

My precinct had 92% of registered voters show up yesterday!

I voted absentee by mail since I was on bedrest for a while, I ordered an absentee ballot. Pregnancy is a blanket excuse for an absentee ballot in Virginia. You couldn't get on the parking lot at the school we vote at at 6:25 am. My husband went back after work and the line was about 40 minutes so not bad. I did hear stories of very long Virginia lines.

I waited about an hour? The line was constantly moving so it didn't feel so bad. Plus, they handed out cookies so I was content. haha.
