Our neighbor (whom i really like but don't chat with too often, just wave at and say hello/small talk when we're in our yards!) came up to DH while he was gardening yesterday and said, "i hope this isn't too weird, but...." and then offered to babysit anytime we wanted to get out. They have grandchildren and a crib and whatnot at their house.

How would you take them up on this? In a month or two, we'd probably be due for a dinner out, lol. And it'd be really nice not to drive 35 minutes away to take the baby's to MIL's.

I know she wouldn't offer unless she wanted to do it...but I feel weird taking them up on it, like i'm burdening them! And it just feels awkward!
