My best friend is getting married the last weekend in June. I am due around April 25th. I am planning her bachelorette party for the last week of June, which consists of renting an old farmhouse and hosting a bunch of women for an overnight. My parents live about 20 minutes from the house we are renting. My husband will have started residency, and so will likely be unable to take time off for the bachelorette and the wedding (so we will prioritize the wedding).
What would it be like to leave baby at 8 weeks ish? I was thinking yesterday I might bring the baby for the day part, and then go to my parents house after the campfire/evening portion, but that is a lot of driving back and forth and I think my friend would really want me to stay the night (although she would totally be understanding). I could bring the baby to the party, but that doesn't seem ideal (although it won't be super rowdy- more of a hippy cooking / campfire/ hiking bachelorette party). I'm sure i could find someone to care for the baby, but I can't imagine leaving an 8-week old for almost 24-hours. I"m planning to breast feed, so I would also have to have built up quite a stash of breast milk.
I'm mostly looking to work through some options. I know I have plenty of time, but as I"m planning the party I want to be keeping in mind what my obligations with the baby are going to be so that I can ask others to help as needed.
