Can't figure out how to link the article but I read it on Bloomberg.com that Target will be getting rid of Circo and Cherokee clothing lines. I'm excited to see the line that will be coming but kind of bummed because Circo has also been a perfect cheap clothing line for daycare clothing and I thought Cherokee stuff was so cute.

I thought it was interesting. I haven't really bought much clothes at Target for DS. It seems like they always had a much better selection of basics for girls than for boys. It's always messy, and the clothes were kinda meh to me.

@ShootingStar: The Cat & Jack line is out at my Target already, and I actually think (at least in terms of baby stuff) that the boys' line is cuter than the girls (which has a few cute pieces, but a lot of cheesier stuff)! Worth checking out if you need some basics/play clothes.
I'll be sad to see Cherokee go. My favorite is always Genuine Kids by Oshkosh, but Cherokee has had some higher-quality looking pieces recently.

@PinkElephant: I think I might've seen it at our Target too, but it's in the kids' section. Although, I haven't gone looking through the baby/toddler section lately.

@littlebug: Cat & Jack doesn't seem to be significantly more expensive than Circo, so hopefully it can serve as a replacement for that type of clothes. I bought a few LS & SS Cat & Jack tops for DD1 in the Girls' section for $6 apiece, not on sale. A long sleeved, long legged romper in the baby boy section was $12.99.
The only downfall is that I feel like the "style" is much more like Circo - there were more prints that I found tacky, like Children's Place style, than ones that I liked, though of course that's a matter of personal opinion! If my DD were left alone to choose, she'd love some of the stuff I hated. If Target was intending to design "for kids", then I guess that makes sense.
As a parent who still gets to exert a decent amount of say into what my kids wear, I really hope they release another line that is a bit more classic (like I felt Cherokee was).

At least they are keeping the genuine kids line, which is my favorite!

I am sad to see Circo go but Cat and Jack has really cute stuff, plus they will have a 1 year guarantee! Can't wait for it to launch online next month.

Oh man, I liked Circo and Cherokee. What a bummer! Hopefully, that means some decent clearance sales, though!
ETA: I had a look at Cat & Jack and I really like those designs especially those for girls. I'm looking forward to it now.

@Canoli: To be honest I'm not sad about the Circo brand. I didnt like that brand at all, the clothes didnt last long and didnt wash well. I did however love Cherokee so I'm sad to hear that. Hopefully it gets replaced by something better. Lately i shop more at Kohls and Childrens place because of all the deals though.

I shop at Target quite a bit for LO because the prices are usually good and they have cute stuff for girls. But I feel like Circo especially shrinks like crazy. I like the 1 year guarantee!

I saw the Cat and Jack stuff today and its cute and very similar to Cherokee - DD has 2 Cherokee maxi skirts that she loves and the C&J ones were exactly the same, even in price!

Man, all my circo clothing for my son was such CRAP. Pilling instantly and ripping all the time. Good riddance. I guess that's par for the course for baby clothes but annoying regardless.

I love Target as much as the next person, but was always surprised at the Circo love. It isn't *that* cheap and the quality just isn't good. I've bought a few things there and they pill and look super worn after only 1-2 washes. I don't like their adult clothes either for the same reason - not really that cheap and quality is always off. So, meh IMO that they are doing away with that line.

@yoursilverlining: I agree with your lack of Circo love. The clothes looked terrible after a few washes and they were more expensive than what I could get with a good gap sale! I'm not sad at all.

I disliked both, so I'm not sad. I didn't think they washed well, and they always shrank in the wash. Hoping the new stuff is better!

I picked this up for T from the girls section Cat & Jack. She loved it and cried when I took it off.

@yoursilverlining: @BadgerMom: @LovelyPlum: I thought it was just me! MIL always buys DD those two brands, and even when she buys 18 months for my 5% 13 month old, they fit terribly. Super tight skin tight shorts, and see through dresses. And they're not cheap in price! DD can fit in 9-12 months in all the other major brands, so I just never had any love for these two. I am very excited for the new line!
At least they are keeping the genuine kids line, which is my favorite!
