Do any of you have tattoos for your kids? I want to get one (I already have 2) that is for C but I'm having trouble thinking of something I want to do. I don't want to do her footprint or something.
I was kind of thinking doing a skeleton key (like, she's the key to my heart) with her name.
Does anyone have one or plan to get one? Care to share a picture?

Im getting one very soon. DH is getting the same one as me. Its an infinity sign, but on the bottom right part of the infinity sign it says "Liv" in cursive so it flows into the design, much like that key above

@zippylef: I've seen something like this with an initial designed into the top of the key - I love it!

I'm not a tattoo person either, but I like the idea of this if I ever was to get one. I like what @rachiecakes: described, with the initial, so it's not totally obvious, but still really sentimental.

@BabyBear: I was thinking something along these lines - when I was waiting for DS I was looking forward to the holidays and couldn't wait for the poinsettia delivery at work because I knew that when they arrived it meant that it would almost be baby time! I never made it to the flower delivery because I was put on bedrest for the last few weeks. I was thinking maybe I'd get a white poinsettia.

I LOVE the key tattoo.
I probably would do something. My husband has both his boys names tattooed on him.

I also think the skeleton key would be cool because our house here in England uses them. Our house keys to all our doors are old skeleton keys. It would be special to where she was born and the home we brought her home to.

I love Angelina Jolie's longitude-latitude tattoos for her children's birth places.
It would be awesome for me since our children will be born all over the world and we want to adopt internationally too... but unfortunately everyone would just roll their eyes at my copying an actress.
Seriously though, most awesome tattoo ever!

I saw an actual tattoo like it on pinterest but I didnt pin it and now I cant find it :-(.

I don't have a LO yet, but I will be getting a tattoo for them once I do. I have a tattoo for myself & a journey to independence, one for DH (my tattoOPPS! Dude, whatever you do, don't trust they can spell even if you write it for them!), and I'll get another to mark my journey into motherhood. It will match my swallow that I already have, maybe different colors though.
Have you guys seen the awful baby hand one? I don't want to post the pic because it's that... Not right. I'll find a link so you can view if you so desire. I'm planning to get paper cranes for each member of our family. So, after I have this baby, I'll get 3 (one for me, husband, and baby). Then I'll add one after each subsequent baby. That's the only thing that I'm wary of with tattoos for your kids -- if you plan to have more than one, do you have enough ideas or room or whatever to get one for each?

I'd like to. I have a few already but my husband has none, and we'd like some kind of family tattoo. We're waiting for inspiration to strike, but no luck so far. We have a friend who has a leaf from a tree in the yard of the home that he built, which is so cool. I need something like that.
