Our last day with the kids was the 5th and our last work day was the 6th. Today is the first official day of summer break!

Wowza! You guys are done early. Our schools go til the 26th! As a Speech Therapist I'll be done the 19th. Schools are too crazy the last week of school for me to be going in.

My last day was May 30th. You guys must start school September, right? We start August 18th. Yay for summer!

Today is the last day for the students, yeah! However, teachers have to stay for another five days of professional development and end-of-year meetings . Like the students, my brain is fried! It's going to be hard to focus on development for next fall right now...

The kids are in finals now and they finish Weds with makeups Thurs and Fri is the last day for teachers, woot!

We start up first week of September.

This week! We are going a little later than usual b/c we missed a lot of days due to snow.
We have field day today. I love this time of the year--everyone is just so happy!

Whoah--talk about an elaborate field day! My field day as a kid was just running around and doing lots of races. They have snow cones, bouncy machines, a sound system blaring music--fancy! Do you all have this at your schools?

Wahh i'm so jealous!!!! do you teacher bees teach summer school or anything or do you play all summer long?? What a dream job! My husband is actually starting school to begin his teaching certification process and I am extremely jealous of him!

@chibee: I do freelance/consultant work and normally teach reading during the summer. The summer flies by.

Our last day was yesterday for the kids and Thursday for the teachers, but I'm on maternity leave so my last day was in March.
