I want my 3 year old to learn to make an emergency call if need be. We don't have a house phone, so she would have to learn on an iPhone.
I've taken the passcode off of my phone, and made the phone icon the only thing on the bottom, but was wondering if anyone else has taught their toddler to do this with any success? Am I going about it the wrong way?

Is there an "emergency" button on the bottom left of your passcode screen? Would that be too complicated?
I'm actually really curious about this too. L is already pretty good at using my iphone, I'm sure he'd catch on pretty quick! Although, he'd probably call 911 every time he got his little hands on my phone.

If you have a passcode on your iphone they call still make an emergency call. It might even be easier for them to figure out. I think my 2.5 year could totally learn the process of making an emergency call. She tends to learn things really quickly. But I doubt she can comprehend real emergency vs. not a real emergency so I would worry there would be a lot of false 911 calls.

Guess I'll put the passcode back on and teach her that way.
