Dd has had a constant double ear infection since Nov 20th that 4 rounds of antibiotics haven't been able to shake. Our doctor has said that the next step are tubes in her ears and he referred us to the specialist - I'm hoping to get in within the next week or two.
Until then, did anyone's LO have tubes? What's the process like - put to sleep, hospital stay, etc?
What about the after care? Do you have to be careful in the bath, wear ear plugs in the pool?
At this point I just want her to feel well so if she needs tubes to relieve the pain I will gladly (albeit nervously) get them put in. The internet has so much conflicting information!
) I'm glad you all had positive experiences. My Dr is really hesitant to refer for tubes and prefers the "wait and see approach" - but she's been in pain for so long it was a relief when he said he'd refer her. He was probably sick of us coming in every week, LOL.
