right now I'm obsessed with gender neutral gray, cream, and green (where I can add pink or blue in later), chevron, woodland themes, baby elephant and giraffes.

We had a "nature-y" theme, and mainly used blue, green, and gray. My fave piece is probably our glider! So comfy. Some pics that our newborn photog took:

@runnerd: I think we have really similar taste-- I'm all about light gray, white, and yellow, and love the woodland or chevron theme/look. No nursery yet to show though (we don't even have a second bedroom yet)

I wish I could show it to you, but we've just started working on it! We're amidst painting the ceiling a champagne color, then we need to paint the walls (we're doing a white with a pink tint). We're putting gold stars on the ceiling, need to paint the dresser and find an ottoman, art and some other things, but then we can finally start putting it together!

- did you have a theme? Nope, not particularly a theme person, but if I had to call it something, I'd say whimsical and feminine
- what colors did you use? We're using champagne, light light pink, gold and white
- what's your fave decor in the nursery? I think it will end up being the ceiling (a hack of Osborne & Little's Coronata Star Wallpaper).
- what's your fave piece of furniture or practical item? Probably the vintage dresser we found on craigslist.

@hilsy85: Thank you! That's the only thing we're still deciding on. DH will just barely make it under it because it's pretty long, so we're wondering if it will be a nuisance or not. But, it's so pretty!

I don't have any recent pictures, just when we were putting it together. LO's nursery is pigs and flowers.... I'm a pig lover and her name is Rose Her walls are white and mint green, and then of course there's a lot of pink in there with the pigs.
I got most of her furniture at antique stores, they were repurposed and that is my favorite part of it all. Especially her changing table. It's a buffet table that just happens to have beautiful roses on it, I knew it was supposed to be hers the moment I saw it and I love it because I can use it for something else once she grows out of it. Also, she has a dresser and matching little bench with hand painted dragon flies on it that is super cute, right when my mom found out she was a girl she called the shop because she had been eyeing the dresser and told them to put a sold sign on it.

- did you have a theme? A general sheep theme.
- what colors did you use? We tried to keep it gender neutral so shades of brown, white, green, and blue.
- what's your fave decor in the nursery? Either the paintings my mom did or the rocking lamb my father in law made.
- what's your fave piece of furniture or practical item? Our rocker/glider is soooo comfortable. We plan to get it reupholstered and move it to our living room within the year.

Of the obsessions you listed, LO's nursery has grey, chevron, elephants and giraffes!
Our colour scheme was light grey, red, aqua, and lime green. He was conceived in South Africa so we incorporated safari animals. My favourite features are the mobile I made and the magnetic wall (that took 6 coats of paint!). I only really have detail pics of our nursery. Sorry!
Oh, and I LOVE our chevron curtains!

-did you have a theme? No, just wanted not too girly and easily changeable if next LO is a boy!
- what colors did you use? Gray/pink/white
- what's your fave decor in the nursery? String ball things I made for over our dance floor at our barn wedding!
- what's your fave piece of furniture or practical item? My favourite practicality is that we took out the closet to make it in to more functional/practical space for baby, including shelving, and the change table!

I love seeing other nurseries! HB makes pretty babies & pretty nurseries!
We didn't have a theme for our nursery -- I just wanted it to feel bright, cheerful, fun, and girly. I picked the fabric for the crib sheets first (I sewed them), and then let that build the color scheme (white, pink, green, and blue). I'm sort of in love with the dresser. It was a vintage 1960's consignment find, and my dad lacquered that bad boy up. We added pretty nobs, and now it's my favorite piece of furniture in the house.
We were on a really tight budget, but I think we were mostly able to accomplish the feel and look we were hoping for.

My nursery is so blah in comparison to all these beauties! But then again, I didn't really get a chance to plan a nursery prior to baby coming and when we renovated one of our rooms to turn it into a nursery, we knew we'd be selling the house sometime in the future so we didn't go all out.
Here's hoping the next house I'll be able to put my own personal spin on the nursery. I can't wait to get everyone's help with that!

We don't have a nursery, just one side of our bedroom dedicated to baby. No theme, just wanted it to be fun and eclectic. We like saturated colors (no pastels here!). It's not really my ideal set-up, but I've grown to like it a lot! My favorite pieces are the mobile, which husband and I made, and the changing table, which we bought for $20 and painted.

@stargal: Thank you! We did make the mobile. Super cheap and easy. Just make the cranes (directions online), string them onto some twine, tie them to some dowel rods from the craft store. Done! Didn't even use glue.

My nursery is so close to being done...glider just got in tonight. I can't wait to post pics! It's modern with grey, aqua, orange, and lime green.
What is everyone using for the book shelves (i.e. book wall)? Are they IKEA? I haven't bought my shelf rails yet, but those are the ones I was planning on.

@hilsy85: We must be design twins because i also did the exact same coloured striped walls, with the opposite walls in a solid!! We also kept the furniture white because her room is quite small.
