I've had two c sections and my scars have sucked both times. Second time is slightly better. They heal like keloid scars - raised, darker, sometimes itch. But I think that is just how my body responds to scars. 7 years ago I had breast augmentation - those scars also kind of became keloids but have now faded tremendously and are pretty much my skin color. So maybe my c section scars will do that eventually? Who knows because now I'm pregnant with #3. I'll try different creams to see if they help. Maybe time will change them?

I haven't noticed any issues with my scar. I've had 3 csections and will have my fourth December 28. Maybe it depends how your body scars?

I've only had 1 cs three years ago and my scar has always been slightly raised and pink. It used to itch and burn at times but since my 2nd pregnancy I hardly notice it. Maybe all the stretching helped break up the scar tissue? If you have a 3rd the doctor can cut out the old scar and/or inject with steroid to shrink it down

1st one was perfect, 2nd one got infected a bit and the ends didn't "seal" so my OB had to use silver nitrate and now only one side is a tiny tiny bit raised and the other side is barely noticeable even at 4 mo

Mine is a huge raised scar with one end being more raised and bumpy than the other. It also gets itchy sometimes with no real relief when I scratch because I think the nerve endings are messed up. Anyone else experience that?

I'm 8 months out from my one and only c/s. It's still a tiny bit raised. Mine is pretty long because the initial slice wasn't wide enough for LO The area right above the incision was puffy for a good amount of time. I remember thinking that would never go away but it did.
