We We had a mid-morning wedding w/ a brunch reception at a quaint historic chapel w/ 65 guests & a party of 8!

Our colors were brown, blue, & orange (think 60's vintage) with an All You Need is Love theme..... and yes we had lots of Beatles songs!

I loved everything & we were off on our honeymoon by midday, which we were both VERY happy about! I think the only thing I'd change is changing the music selection for the reception... we didn't have alot of dancing since it was brunch but a bit more would've been nice! I think for our renewal we'll do a late evening instead!

We were married in Jamaica. We had a full bridal party (5 on each side) and roughly 45 of our closest friends and family in attendance.

We had dinner set up on the beach by the ocean and the palm trees were lit up for a night of dancing on the sand with our amazing DJ. We also let off sky lanterns to top the evening off.

Our colours were white, royal blue, and yellow.

It was magical.

ETA: We also did a trash the dress session the next day in some waterfalls. They are some of our favorite pics.

We got married in my church, with our reception in a pavilion on a church members property. This lady is like a grandmother to me.

It was an evening wedding/reception, and the weather was perfect. It stormed earlier in the day, so it was nice and cool by the evening instead of horribly humid.

I cried walking down the aisle. Not cute cry, it was an ugly cry, but I was so emotional and happy. All I could think about at the reception was eating (I was SO HUNGRY), and we had no dancing, which was perfect because I don't dance.

Our colors were aqua and spring green.

We had a farewell breakfast, and then DH and I packed up to head to our new apartment (he was still in grad school).

I had a rustic winter wedding at a sugar shack in Quebec.

Dinner was traditional temps des sucre fare (sausages, country style omelet, tourtière, mashed potatoes... ect) served family style (and all you can eat!!).

It was a real DIY wedding... I made almost everything for it including all the flowers (made of paper).

We had around 90 guests. Most were from out of town.

The night before the wedding the entire wedding party stayed in 2 cabins on the venue's grounds.

We did a first look! One of the best decisions we made. Let us get in LOTS of amazing photos and it was still so romantic. I tear up just thinking about it.

It was awesome, best day of my life! And not too expensive at all!

We got married at a historic hotel in Saratoga, NY. We had a wedding party of 6, including my MAN of honor :). Our colors were varying shades of blue and white. We had about 100 people attend.

The day had a ton of things go wrong, but in the end it was still perfect. We also had a great welcome party the night before where we were roasting s'mores outside (even invented cupcake s'mores!) and got to spend some real time with our close friends and family.

The next day we had breakfast and leftover wedding cake in bed and opened our gifts. It was the most amazing weekend of my life :).

We got married right outside DC. The wedding was at the church my family has gone to since I was 2 or 3 -- where I went to bible school camp in the summer, where I went to Sunday school every weekend growing up -- so that was really special to me. The reception was at a local country club.

It was in September and the weather could not have been more perfect. Blue skies and beautiful temperatures all day long. Our colors were eggplant purple and silver. I walked in to "Here, There, and Everywhere" by the Beatles played by a classical guitarist and we walked out of the church to bagpipes. Our first dance was to "That's All" by Nat King Cole.

The day went by so fast it's hard to believe. There was a lot fo stress leading up to it, but when I think back to it all I feel is bliss This was all seven months ago, time has flown since then! I hope you don't mind but I'm going to add a few pics with the hope that others do the same! Even after all that planning I still love weddings!

Our wedding (7.5 years ago!) color theme was champagne and white with touches of dark red. We had 8 people in our wedding party and my bridesmaids wore low-backed satin ballgowns I bought at the BCBG outlet (my first wedding related purchase). My wedding gown was a strapless full ballgown and I wore elbow-length gloves. Everyone was so formal but I loved it.

We got married in my parents' church (the ugliest church ever, helloooo 70s style architecture and decor) and had two separate receptions: one for my parents' church downstairs in their hall, and one at a reception hall about 20 minutes away for our friends. The guest count at each was about 150, so 300 total. Everyone said I was the happiest/giddiest bride (I couldn't stop smiling) and Wagon Sr. was a complete robot. He was totally overwhelmed. Even though we only had open bar for the cocktail hour, everyone remembers our reception as the best ever because 1) everyone was drunk and 2) no older folks sitting around watching as the dance party was happening. It was most of our friends' first wedding they were attending as a peer (not a relative's wedding or tagging along with their parents) so even though it was so bare bones, everyone had such a great time.

We were young and on a budget, so we served chicken and our centerpieces were like 5 white roses in a small vase... but we had a blast. We also had awesome wedding favors, because I love fun party favors... my dad owned a printing business at the time so we got mugs printed with Wagon Sr.'s favorite poem and an illustration by my BIL, along with our wedding date (we love visiting friends and spotting the mugs in their cabinets) AND we got chocolate pitch pipes, because we met singing acappella.

We got married on a golf course of a huge waterpark resort. We had 130 guests. 10 people in out bridal party. Our colors were eggplant, black, and ivory with a few touches of orchid and green.

We served a plated chicken or fish dish with cheesecake for desert. We had a photobooth (which was a newer idea then) and an awesome DJ.

The next day we had a lite brunch and then spent the day at the waterpark. It was so much fun. I loved wedding planning and everything about my wedding. I did a lot of stuff myself including our flowers. And my mom made my veil. We were on tight budget with 2 kids already, but everything turned out so nice.

We woke up one morning and said "hey, do you want to get married today?" and went to the courthouse and got married, just the two of us. The "ceremony" literally lasted like 5 minutes. That was a year ago. We are planning on having a small party sometime this summer to celebrate with friends and family.

i loved our wedding! we had about 175 guests, it was an all day affair held at a summer camp for at risk youth in MA. our colors were green, and gold with a bit of orange thrown in. i had a bride's man, a maid of honor, bridesmaid, and 2 jr bridesmaids, DH had 2 groomsmen & his best man, & a bring bearer & flower girl.

first we had a traditional nigerian wedding in the antique barn at the camp with drummers & a dancer, DH was hidden in the crowd & i had to find him to give him a cup of wine- whoever drinks the wine becomes my husband =) we changed into our western wedding outfits, my wedding dress was bought the wed before our sat wedding =D then we were supposed to go outside by the pond where we had made a ceremony area with bails of hay for seating, but it poured so we had to have our western wedding in the barn as well. we had the most personal ceremony- we each did a reading that we felt represented our feelings on that day & designed the rest of the ceremony officiated by DH's UU pastor, it was just awesome! we had a reception with a buffet in a tent with pork tenderloin, goat & rice (nigerian dish), pumpkin ravioli, and one other thing i don't remember =) we cut the groom's surprise dinosaur cake (inside joke) instead of our cake & served the most amazing cupcakes. then we dancing & DH's guests 'spray' money- they throw money while you're dancing, but some of them got a little too into it & knew i was grossed out my money touching my face- so they were literally rubbing it on my face! the last song was 'you are my sunshine', my mom used to sing it to me when i was little, so they surprised me by asking the DJ to play it, my mom & i sang along =) then we ended with a popcorn machine & fireworks over the pond to katie perry's 'fireworks'. the bridal party all spent the night at the camp, it was amazing! there were 2 cocktail (half)hours in there with beer, wine & food.

My wedding hasn't happened yet, so I'll describe what we've planned so far. We're getting married in mid-September at an old Tudor mansion, turned inn, in Manchester, VT. The ceremony will be outside facing the Green Mountains (with my FBIL officiating), cocktail hour on the veranda, and a stations dinner in the dining room. We're having so many different stations, I'm excited. We're serving pies instead of cake - 6 different flavors of pie. The DJ and dancing will be back out on the veranda after dinner.

Our colors are navy blue and crimson, with pops of deep orange and yellow. We will each have 3 attendants. There's no real "theme" but decor will be DIY and sort of rustic. We're inviting 82 people, but only expecting 65 or 70 to actually show up. Everyone will be staying at the inn the night of the wedding and we'll have a brunch the next day.

I can't wait!

Our wedding was held *miraculously* on the hottest day in April in Oregon (aka the one day it didn't rain) inside a gorgeous southern-style country club. We had about 80 guests and 7 members in our bridal party. Our colors were jewel tones (dark pinks and purples) and gold. The ceremony was officiated by my mother's pastor, but had Catholic hints since we're both Catholic but DH has been married before.

We dined on traditional southern fare as a tribute to my husband who is from Tennessee. It was the first time many guests had ever eaten crawfish! My mother made all of the desserts for our dessert bar other than a small cake. Guests loved our homemade photobooth at cocktail hour and DH and I got our own special moment to drink down a beer and eat hdo's right after we said I Do. It was the best night ever and we spent the night in a fancy downtown hotel before heading to Cancun for the honeymoon.

We got married at the end of summer on a rocky island off the coast of Maine. Everyone came over via ferry together and walked a few steps up to our venue!

We each had 1 friend on our side; Maid of Honor and the Best Woman. Our friend married us and our reading was the MA Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. There were about 70 guests; I walked down the aisle to the theme from The Princess Bride on acoustic guitar and we walked back up the aisle together to the Beach Boys God Only Knows!

Our colors were Tiffany blue, ivory, chocolate and pale pink. Flowers were fresh hydrangeas and roses and the theme (according to my husband) was "The Kennedys on the coast". (haha, whatever that means!!!)

After the ceremony, there was a cocktail hour with jazz and lotsssss of hors d'oeuvres followed by a 4 course formal dinner, full bar, cupcakes and lots of dancing to old school jams (awesome mix of old-school rap, punk and classics).

The morning before we hosted a rehearsal dinner open to all guests at a rental house on the island and had a classic Maine lobster-bake.

The next morning we hosted a brunch at a park overlooking the ocean before everyone flew home.

It was AMAZING and even though it was expensive, I don't regret it at all!!

@yoursilverlining: i sooooo wanted that read at our wedding! DH's family is conservative catholic (we are not) so he didn't think it was a good idea for us, but i think it's just beautiful!

@yoursilverlining: Don't mean to threadjack, but which island off the coast of Maine? I go to Monhegan Island every year with DH and my in-laws and it's my favorite place on earth hands down.

@mrs. bird: We had a lot of very conservative relatives at our wedding but the reading seemed to go over most of their heads. A few even complimented us on it and I was totally LOLing on the inside as I thanked them.

@knittylady: Peaks island!! (just off the coast from Portland). I actually haven't been up to Monhegan, although we were just talking to some friends about renting a house there for a week this summer or next summer!

I love hearing about weddings and looking at all the pics! Funny...earlier today I was wondering to myself if my postpartum belly pudge could ever fit back in to my wedding dress!!

We had an outdoor wedding in a Japanese garden. We had three bridesmaid / three groomsmen and about 100 guests. Not too big, not too small. We also did a first look and I'm so glad we did; I was a little hesitant about that at first. Despite rain early in the day, the weather ended up being absolutely perfect and the venue was so pretty. We had a string quartet, the most beautiful flowers, and all in all a pretty perfect day. Except for the cake, that was a MAJOR letdown!
