Elizabeth!!
My mom named me after my grandma but modernized it (Allison Elizabeth instead of Alice Elizabeth) but my moms 1st name is Elizabeth but goes by Liz. I'm wondering how I *might* be able to keep the tradition alive but not...the same? There are other first names DH and I agree on but I'm a sucker for tradition.
I should add...I'm not KU, just interested

Eliza comes to mind first along with Liz, Beth, Lizzie like the bee above me mentioned. Possibly Liza too.

I loooove the name Elizabeth! It was one of our final choices for DD. My favorite nicknames are Beth and Eliza!

That's my MN, and since my first name is the same as a great uncle I've always been called different nicknames for Elizabeth by my family

DH's gramma goes by Betty. We will use Elizabeth as this LO's middle name when she comes in March.

My husband's aunt is named Elizabeth as she goes by Libby
I knew a girl named Elisabeth and she went by Lissa...she was smart and beautiful so I have a really positive association with the name Lissa
