Aww that is so sweet!

A couple days ago DH fixed me glasses! P has "stretched" one of the arms so every time I would look down or try and put my hair up they'd fall down my face. He got an old pair I had in the cabinet and replaced the broken arm with a "fixed" one! I was really dreading our pictures coming up and getting shots with my glasses falling!

He was gone for work till Thursday this week. Then with work and a work happy hour he had to go too, he didn't get home till late Friday. So we haven't seen each other much. But it melted my heart that he said he got teary eyed while gone with how much he missed his girls.

He came home and happily played with LO while making dinner as I left the house to go out with friends. Came home four hours later and she is bathed and asleep. Yay for Daddy!!

He has been suddenly really conscientious that the third trimester is very uncomfortable for me. I've been getting lots of back rubs, foot rubs, etc. and he's always checking to make sure I have a glass of water close by. So sweet!

Today I woke up to an email from LO; surprised, I opened it and found that "LO" had bought me a certificate for facial and massage for mother's day! And that "LO" is taking me out to dinner at my fave Italian place; yum! Made me all teary for my first mother's day!

He's been comforting me.

@Cherrybee: I'm sorry that you have to deal with GD and especially that they didn't tell you sooner. This is however a very cute story. It sounds like something my DH would do!
@babyjmama: it's the little things in life that are the best. Getting into bed with clean, cool sheets is the best!

Wednesday evening I spoke to my dad about my grandmother, who has very bad dementia, they are putting her in an assisted living facility because even with her at my dads house, she's dangerous to herself and others. I was so sad to hear that and scared that my DD might not get to meet her great grandmother. So he took the next day off work so we could drive the 1.5 hours to my hometown to see her! Huge deal because a) it's a day off work b) our first time out with our 2 week old and c) our relationship with my family is rocky at best, so spending a whole day with them hasn't happened since our wedding.

He let me sleep in today, cleaned while I was sleeping and got me my vanilla latte from Starbucks. We're gonna get sushi today!

@Cherrybee: i literally lol'd at picturing your hubby saying that during your appt. (sorry about the sucky news though!)

i have had a horrible cold all week and on top of that dh's work schedule has been all kinds of messed up. he had to work four overnight shifts (6 pm to 6 am) in a row. but even though he was completely exhausted from working all night, every morning when he got home he took care of LO for a couple of hours so i could sleep in and cleaned the kitchen each time, as well.

All these husbands are so sweet!!
DH is great but um, yeah...I can't think of anything! I guess he should do something to jog my memory! In general he's thoughtful/helpful/loving but I don't think we've really done anything especially nice for each other recently. Then again, I do t remember what I had for breakfast today.

That is so sweet!

I turned in my the last paper of my masters degree on Monday, and when DH came home he had a bouquet of my favorite flowers and the flowers we had at our wedding--peonies--as a surprise. He said he had been calling the florist almost daily to make sure he didn't miss the first peonies of the season. So sweet!

DH cleaned my bathroom for me today. Even though nesting has kicked in I still hate to clean the bathroom!

I went to the women's retreat that our church has every year last weekend and not only did dh keep the lo's by himself all weekend but he bought me a new dresser, completely cleaned the house, did all the dishes and dressed the lo's up all nice and took them both to church. Then he made me dinner that night. He is just so sweet
