Hugs. I just wanted to say that I think you are really brave; as is everyone who divorces when they have children (especially young children). I don’t know exactly the nature of your marital issues, but wanted to say that my husband’s parents waited until high school to divorce and the relationship they modeled to him (as a married couple/parents) really impacted his relationships as an adult and in part led to the end of my husband’s first marriage. They were very friendly with each other but maintained very separate lives for all of my husband’s childhood and so he thought that was what a normal marriage looked like. He’s had to go a lot of work in therapy around healthy relationships/marriages. I’m sure you’ll hear a lot of “can’t you work it out for the kids’ sake?”, but honestly, there are a lot of real downsides to doing that. You deserve to be happy, with yourself and your partner. Good luck

@yoursilverlining: I wholeheartedly agree, well said. My parents live separate lives for the most part and DHs parents divorced when he was 20. Not good examples.
Sending you hugs. We are here!
