Somehow, in my realm of procrastination now when I should be sleeping, I ended up finding youtube videos of the Babysitters Club tv series. I read all the books growing up, so when they made a tv show out of it, i was stoked! i would watch them repeatedly. so when i watched a clip just now, i felt sooooo nostalgic!
was anyone else a Babysitters Club fan back in the day?
- oh, and omg, was it ever cheesy! like cringe-worthy cheese!

I had no idea there was a series! Okay, i thought Claudia was Asian??
I loved BSC. I had almost the entire series, and i wish i didn't give them away.

@Freckles: i thought she was too. i remember when i first watched that none of the characters looked like they were supposed to. though seeing them now just made me nostalgic.
next i should look up Sweet Valley High! which was also made into a series for a short time...

I still have a giant box full of their books... I keep telling myself I am going to sell them one day but, lets face it, I wont. lol.
(and by giant box I mean an almost complete collection. I am only missing a few)

@PurpleUnicorn: BSC was my fave. I think I owned just about every last book! I wanted to start my own club more than anything -lol! Have you seen the movie? I loved the movie back in the day!

I was a total BSC girl - no Sweet Valley High for me! I have super embarrassing cassette tapes of myself reading the books out loud as if someone would possibly want to listen to that. I don't know what I was thinking.

I was totally obsessed with the BSC and wrote Ann M. Martin a fan letter when I was in grade school. I read the books. Don't remember a TV series though. I think I learned most of my beliefs and ideas about Connecticut from TBSC!

I have the entire series, arranged in order, at my parents house. I also recently found a t-shirt I got for being a member of the fan club which has all of their "signatures" on the back.

Oh man, I had most of the collection, including the mysteries, and the super specials (especially remember the one where they vacationed/babysat on a cruise ship).

@PurpleUnicorn: yup! I'm actually in the process of finding the whole series w original cover for my 9 yr old niece! I found the first 6 so far and she likes it so I will continue looking.

I have a few of the regular ones, a super special (blizzard one I think, which always terrified me), and some little sister books ready for P when she wants them. But, I think she will never understand why Kristy BEGGED for her own phone line in her room...lol.
Also, the movie is one of my favorites, ever. Love it so much...90's at it's best.

I LOVED this book series! I couldn't wait to go buy the new book and would devour it in a weekend. And I loved the Super Specials b/c they were longer than the regular books too.

A few years ago Scholastic came out with a few graphic novel versions of the book that were pretty neat.
