I don't know if this is truly Spanish but I have always loved Hilaria, like Alec Baldwin's wife, you know, prouncounced like IH-LAH-REE-AH. I've loved that name since I was probably 7

@MrsLilybugg: I really like all these names! To the Katarina, I know one (spelled Katerina) and I have never heard anyone call her Katrina, not once. She goes by Kate sometimes, but never heard Katrina. I mean, people will mispronounce anything but I wouldn't think it would be a common problem.

I think with that spelling of Isabela people would misspell it with two Ls a lot.

I think Mariana, Katarina, and Alana are my favorites.

@MrsLilybugg: I saw some special on a princess in a (I think Spanish?) foreign country as a kid and I wanted that to be my name and just obsessed over it. Then when Alec baldwin got married I just fell in love with it all over again. It would not work with our last name at all but it's worth checking out on name sites! It just sounds so melodic to me!

My sister's name is Carina which I love.
My middle is Liana. Both are similar to your list.

@MrsLilybugg: My husband is Italian, so we were looking at Italian baby names. They are pretty close to Spanish ones. I had a friend in HS who was Mexican and her middle name was Amalia (uh-MAHL-ee-uh), which I always thought was GORGEOUS.

The names on your list are all so pretty.

If you need more names to consider, I've always liked the name Natalia.

One name we loved but did not use is Constanza. It's more Italian but I also love Domenica.

I like Catalina rather than Katerina. Catarina in Spanish is a ladybug.

I LOVE Emmanuella, but the more typical version, Manuela, is slang for a sex act

Natalia, Valentina, Camila, Valeria and Isabella are all very popular in my neck of the woods right now among female Mexican babies!

@MrsLilybugg: my sister had this same issue - her husband is from Peru! She needed something that worked in English/Spanish. Some of the names on their list, though somewhat bilingual, would have sounded so off being said by us Americans (Eduardo, Rodrigo, Mateo)... They went with Diego which we all LOVE!
She is pg again... we're not sure if it's a girl/boy yet.

One of the names I suggested for her if she has a girl is Soraya. I think it's GORGEOUS. There is actually a Hispanic musician named Soraya - her music is pretty too

Gabriela wasn't on your list either and that's a common but pretty bilingual name.

Oooh i love this thread. I will have to remember to come back if baby #2 is a girl. We had the same spanish/english requirements but we had a boy.

We are going through the same dilemma! No kids yet, but we've talked enough about names we like. We have a girl name picked out that goes with DH's Spanish last name, but we CANNOT pick a boy name at all!!!

@MrsLilybugg: I have a friend named Katarina and sometimes gets Katrina. She just goes by Kat but on the occasion where people use her full name there are instances when it gets mixed up!

Alana is also my sister's last name, but I would never think of it as a Spanish name, but maybe because we're white lol.

@Mrs. Pen: Diego is my husband's name! It is also the only Spanish sounding boy name that we like, but we aren't a huge fan of "juniors" so we aren't sure. If we ever have a boy we may just say screw it and use the name anyway!

I really like Alana, Elena and Mariana. I know a Katarina and never heard her name mispronounced either. This is super similar to your names but I have always liked Marissa, its much prettier in Spanish or Latin pronunciation though...
