I just got caught up on my DVR'd shows and I watched it. It's not what I expected but it was decent enough. Anyone else watch it? Are you going to keep watching?

I watched it too! I'll give it a try for at least a few episodes. I thought the girl who plays Carrie actually sounds like SJP when she does her monologues.

I didn't like how they changed the story of her mom, but oh well. I liked that the Asian friend was Knives Chau from Scott Pilgrim vs the World!

@sweetchic: In the series, her dad left her mom when she was young... her parents divorced which caused a lot of her daddy issues. Here, the characters are reversed: mom died and dad is the rock.

It's not unheard of to do stuff like this; Frasier totally rewrote Kelsey Grammer's family when he moved to Seattle. Was just a bit weird to take in at first.

I just watched it and it wasn't bad! I liked the monologues and the ending was cute with her writing at her desk in front of the window. The costumes are a bit OTT, though, even for SATC and the 80's.
