E started going down really easily after we trained him to sleep in his crib (now sometimes he'll crawl over and pull himself up on it and cry if he's really tired), but he still wakes up at least once a night (usually twice, and some nights 3+). We haven't trained him for night-wakings because it's one of the only times he's calm and lets me rock/cuddle with him, and I'm trying very hard to cherish it because I know he won't be crying out for me for much longer, and I'm achingly aware that each night could be the last that he needs the comfort of my arms.
