I just blew bubbles for DD and she started singing "sing sweet nightingale." HAHA.
She's watched Cinderella maybe 3 times?
Love her.

This morning. She told me, "I need a sister!" Over and over again. I'm blaming Frozen on this...but we watched it two weeks ago!

Last night at dinner she pressed her lips together and made a smacking sound and then said "mmmmm tasty." I have NO idea where this came from, I about fell off my chair!

A few weeks ago ... LO always gabbers to himself so we normally don't pay attention unless we are doing activities with him but sometimes he's playing on his own and gabbers. We started noticing he was actually doing 1-2-3s (up to 10ish), do-re-mis and a-b-cs (the whole thing). We were surprised! We say these things to him all the time we aren't sure if he understands what they mean yet but at least he knows what order they go in

Just before lunch. I'm working from home today and my dad is here with him. I came downstairs to make him lunch, and he's coming in our laundry room door (from outside) with his plastic chair that is all dirty and wet. I turned that kid right back around outside! It was pretty hilarious to see him try to struggle to bring that chair in the house though

The other day I dropped something and Wagon Jr. walked into the room, put his hands up and said (very calmly) "What in the world is going on in here."
He has started saying it now... "What in the world are you talking about" "What in the world does that mean" !!! Where did he learn that?? Ugh!! I have asked him to not say it anymore because the way he says it sounds really disrespectful!! haha!

@mrsjazz: lol! give her a sister!!!!
@mrs. wagon: HAHAHA omg I love him. I'm always "what in the worlding" should stop before my kids pick it up!

@chopsuey: haha! I was so sure it came from me (I have a hard time watching what I say, but he parrots everything back now!) but after watching myself for a few days, it wasn't me! It must be his teacher!
Oh, the other day I did something and said "shoot" and he immediately said "Mommy you shouldn't say shoot, that's not a nice word." Ahhhh!!!

LO has pretty well mastered a spoon so last night I gave her a fork. After only a few tries she successfully stabbed a lima bean and brought it right to her mouth and ate it off the fork. I was super impressed! I clapped, and then she looked at me with disdain.

@mrs. wagon: Yikes. I would have told him "actually, shoot it is a much better alternative than what mommy really wanted to say!"

@MamaMoose: I know right??? The other day I hit my knee (wow I am really clumsy!) and said the other word, and thankfully he didn't hear me!!! eeek!
btw I love when kids respond to your excitement with the look of disdain. It makes you feel SO not stupid... right?? haha.

So D has this pjs with crabs on them, and at bedtime Hubs tells him "Look, crabs!" And then he clicks his tongue and makes like pincer claws with his hands. Well last night, I put his pjs on him and he looks up at me, clicks his tongue, and pinches his fingers together!
THIS he does, after like 3 days. He still won't "woof" or "meow" when we talk about cats and dogs. It cracks me up the things he chooses to imitate.

@mrs. wagon: It was a running joke in my family that my mom really never curses but for some reason any time she hits her head, the F word comes out, it's hilarious!! She gets so flustered and embarrassed.

LO has started signing. I quit trying to teach her around five months ago when she learned words for the signs I was teaching her faster than she learned the signs.

DS said "rolllllll" the other night (he's 15m and talks up a storm). I asked what he wanted to eat and he pursed his lips together and just said it! It was so cute!

I'm always so impressed with my son's memory. The other day we walked by a cafe and he said "we had ice cream there with X and Y", and it had been at least 2 weeks! I barely even noticed we were walking by the same place!
@littlebug: that is super cute.

@chopsuey: awww!!
It was probably this weekend when we were at a friend's house and she climbed up the ladder that was attached to their playset like a champ. She didn't ask for help! Stop being so big, little girl!

I asked her to "watch" her sister yesterday while I went into another room. She sat down and held her sister's hand and sang happy birthday to her.

Today! He is in speech therapy amongst other things with EI. Even though they consider him in the normal range with speech right now I was still blown away when he pointed out and said a bunch of his letters today including A, F, T, D,p,m, and N! He also started saying bye bye yesterday. It sounds sort of like he is southern "bah bah," very cute. He will be 20 months in a week

I love Cinderella and that song definitely stays with you!
My DD shocked me the other day by saying this to my DH - "You should listen to mama she's the boss not you..."
