Sadie loves all things princesses, but doesn't want to be one for Halloween. I actually tried to convince her to be one so that we could just buy the dress and I didn't have to make anything. But, she is very adamant about being a pink dinosaur. Of course they don't sell pink dinosaur costumes.

@daniellemybelle: lol! K was Sofia last year and I think that WAS the gateway drug to all the dress-up costumes she has now!
IDK what K will be yet this year. She's all about princess dresses every day, so I don't know if/how Halloween will be any different. Easiest solution for me is to just let her pick whichever princess dress she wants and just wear it. I wanted to do a Unicorn since she's into that, but DH said it's too close to the Pegasus (her 1st Halloween).

Nope, she doesn't really get to decide yet, so she's going to be Boo from Monsters Inc.

I might dress up as a princess, lol. Or a spider web, I haven't decided yet.
Maybe if I had a princess dress when I was a kid I wouldn't want to be a princess so badly now as an adult, lol...kidding, kind of.

I sympathize. We have a boy, but if we ever have a girl I am going to hate the princess crap. I never liked it as a girl, so I can't relate. I don't mind seeing our stuffed rocking cow, wooden trains and Legos in our living room, but I would have a tough time with anything in Peptol Bismol pink.

@mrs.shinerbock: Where did you find the costume and which outfit are you doing for Boo? That's been what i've wanted to dress DD as for Halloween since before she was born!

Very possible. Last year my oldest was adamant she wanted to be spongebob, and she was. This year, she wants to be Sofia the First. I'm ok with whatever she wants.

Nope! Too young to talk or care. She'll be in a skeleton sleeper that was $5 at Walmart. Enjoying affordable costumes while I can!

@shopaholic: I am planning on making it. I searched etsy and eBay, but am not going to pay +$100. I'm doing the purple monster costume, but am going to cheat and instead of sewing a tube, I'm going to make a square and Velcro it in the back.
