DH was itching around the two year mark. I was scared still from the previous delivery nightmare, so I didn't agree. Then, he was itching again around the 2.5 year mark and was too sweet to say no to lol. It worked out both times luckily since we didn't want winter babies.

We planned to start trying after C turned two. Our timing with her worked out really well for us and we would have been happy with same timing and having them about 3 years apart.

Then we were a little less careful a few months before that and they will be a little less than 2.5 years apart. I think the spacing will be great for the kids, but I'm a little worried about a winter baby in New England.

LO's birthday was in Octoboer and we knew we didn't even want to think about it until he was 1. We said we'd start trying after the first of the year and got KU in March! They'll be 2 years 2 months apart

We said we would start trying as soon as my period came back and we did and got pregnant, but I lost that baby, which would have been a 2 year 2 months age gap. As it is, it will be just over 2.5 years gap. We would like a shorter gap between #2 and #3 but so much is not in our hands so we'll see.

LO1 has just turned 1, and I was in the one and done camp. Then I was pregnant and felt that my family didn't feel complete without another. I miscarried and wasn't able to move on for some time. When I was ready, I conceived on our first try. My kids are 2.5 years apart.

We planned on doing another round of IVF in Jan 2011 - we wanted the kids 3 yrs apart - but we got pregnant on our own the summer of 2010 - kids are 2.5 yrs apart

D was dead-set against having a second, but changed his mind just before E turned 2.5. It took over a year to get pregnant with Ev so we figured they'd be at least 4 years apart, but I got my IUD out in Feb and got a BFP in March, so depending on when baby shows up they'll be 3 yrs and about 4 months apart, which is pretty ideal for me, I think

I got pregnant with my twins a few weeks after bringing my oldest home from the hospital. So my three boys are 8.5 months apart. With my daughter we figured we didn't want anything smaller than 2 years or so but we still didn't know if I could get pregnant (it took nearly three years to get pregnant the first time) we had one night when we didn't protect before we officially started trying and that was it. My oldest son was 2 weeks shy of being 3 and the twins were 2 and 3 months when she was born. I agree with @travelgirl1: so much is not in our hands.

Um i got a BFP yesterday... it took us 6 months to conceive LO1 so we were "planning" to get KU this fall. One shot the first month without protection at the absolute wrong time and here we are.. go figure If this works out they'll be almost exactly 3 years apart.

@mrbee: Thanks I'm still in a little bit of shock since we thought we'd have more time to get our sh*t together, but this is so damn unpredictable!!

My pregnancy #2 was not planned. We wanted another one, but thought maybe in another year. My kids are 20 months apart and I love it (funny how everything worked out!).

I wanted them about 2.5 years apart, so they could be close enough to play with each other, but not so close that I felt like I had two babies.

For a long time I didn't ovulate since I was breastfeeding after my son was born. I went almost a full year with no periods. When my period came back, I knew I wasn't ready to TTC, but I also didn't want to use hormonal birth control and I was scared of IUDs. DH and I used condoms, but a few times we "forgot." Anyway, I ended up getting pregnant when my son was 17 months old. It was a surprise, but I was happy that they weren't spaced any closer together than that. They will be a little over 2 years apart.
