@regberadaisy: haha, I just made a post about this because I'm planning on sending Xander to daycare on Friday so I can go get a pedicure!

I never thought I'd:

-Let them sleep in my bed just for the simple fact that I had to work the next day and couldn't go without sleep
-Be excited to see a poopy diaper...baby constipation is no fun
-cry because my baby smiled at me for the first time because she realized I had been gone all day and was finally home with her.
- Think farts were hysterical at inappropriate times...when they just do it on anyone at anytime...just really funny

Be happy about getting barfed on - I'd rather it out and on me than making him feel yucky!

My baby isn't here yet and I've already got a list of these!

I:
- never thought I'd buy incontinence pads with my husband
- never thought I'd fart in front of my husband (getting out of bed to go to the bathroom is too much hassle)
- Never thought I'd wear flats to a wedding (perish the thought)

Never thought I would let my baby scream all the way through a grocery store. But shipping has to get done, cranky or not.

cloth diaper. totally laughed when a friend was doing it. now i'm obsessed.

I never thought I'd BF past 6 months.

Also never thought I'd butt sniff to see if there was a dirty diaper. HA!

@LittleK; yep. Sterile pee.

I will have to try to get a video-- Lorelei has been walking around the past three days or so saying, "poop no hurt you" and shaking her head. She pooped in the shower and scared herself, and I told her, "it's just poop. It won't hurt you." I think she's trying to make herself feel better?

@Regberadaisy; I think it won't last-- she hasn't been scared in the past. Ellie was in there with her, and I think Ellie's reaction was mostly what scared her. But she's on a potty stuff kick anyway. Just figured out how to say 'vagina' and Mr. T has to keep telling her that, nope, he still doesn't have a 'gina', but thanks for asking.

I never thought I'd sleep on sheets with poop on them...my excuse...it's newborn poop! I threw a towel on top of it and went back to sleep.

@regberadaisy: bahaha I totally thought the same thing!! I thought it was so bizarre that a sahm would have a child in daycare. Now I TOTALLY get it!!! It makes me admire my mom so much- 6 kids and she never had a babysitter! Until my sister was old enough to watch us, my parents hardly ever went out.

@Mrs. Twine: the vagina talk is hilarious!

I never thought I would be bfing my almost 1 year old with no end in sight.
I never thought I would be getting up at 5am everyday with a baby who loves the crack of dawn.

@regberadaisy: We call taking the day off together and sending LO to daycare a "Day Date"! We had one when she was about 4 months old and it was AMAZING!
We still woke up early to take her in at the normal time but then we went and had a leisurely breakfast out, went home and slept, and then pretty much did whatever we wanted until it was time to pick her up!

I never thought I would:
Let LO stay at daycare when I got off work early.
Let LO get passed around as much as she is.
Be super protective of her bedtime routine/schedule.

Whip my boob out in front of so many people, so much of the time, and.. wish I could go back to work earlier than planned

@regberadaisy: @lindseykaye: @Adira: I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking like this! Sometimes I feel guilty but my kids go to day care every Friday, whether I have the day off or not (we are on 9/80 schedule). If there is something special we take them out, but otherwise it is my opportunity to take care of chores, groceries, or have lunch with DH that otherwise would never happen (we don't have date nights) -without two kiddies in tow!
Things I never thought I would do - buy a minivan.

@T-Mom: Do you work at my company?? We do 9/80 schedule too!

I never thought i would be nursing my child after the age of 1

Never thought I would put her food directly on her high chair tray without a plate or bowl

Never thought I would use a pacifier
