I think it's so funny to think about all the things LO won't know about from my childhood, like dial up Internet, landline phones, CDs, VHS tapes...
What won't your child know about?

I guess I'm old school because I still use a lot of those things! I have a birthday cassette tape that I listen to every year, I still buy CD's, and we just installed a landline phone.

dial-up internet, how everything wasn't always portable or flat/slim or battery powered, life before the internet...

Being able to not be reachable 24/7 by phone.

Card catalogs! Just the whole way kids do research now is totally different. LO is only four months but I'm already curious as to what it's going to be like to help her with her schoolwork in the Internet age. I wish I had something like Wolfram Alpha for AP Calculus...

Non flat screen TVs . . . LOs will not know we call them *flat screens* for a reason (as opposed to just a tv, like they were before!).

I remember when I was in 3rd grade, the teacher asked the class "Who here has a computer at home?" and just myself and one other kid raised our hands. It's amazing how much has changed in such a short amount of time!
It's crazy to think the world my LOs will grow up in compared to how I grew up.
